We are an interior decorator and building artisan. We are French and come from Lot and Midi-Pyrénées. We have renovated houses for French, British, American, and Canadian costumers in the departments of Lot and Dordogne. During a stay in Algarve, we have felt in love with Olhão, We have been seduced and have felt certain feeling of fullness. During a walk, we felt in love with this typical fisherman's house in Olhão. We have decided to buy it and discover the exceptional view from the terrace, the panoramic view over the rooftops of Olhão, the lake, and the islands of Ria Formosa. It is wonderful! We love the vintage charm of this city, walking on the pedestrian alleyways, the eyes looking at immaculate-blue sky. Each time we come back, the charm starts operating again. We believe that we have never left this heaven of peace. In the harbour, Olhão is hectic, lively, and bustling. We visit the market where one can find fresh fish as well as local products: citrus, almonds, mangoes, figs, honey fruits, and several vegetables. The South feels good! Olhão is called a Cubist city because of its Moorish architecture that has survived across the decades without losing its soul. It is unique in Algarve. It is authentic. We are passionate about architecture and very sensitive about the built heritage we visit. In Olhão, we can do everywhere on foot or by bike. The car remains parked on the street! We love to go from Ecovia to Fuseta (10 km away), sit in front of a grilled fish, and return before high tide. The walk is enjoyable... It is never cold. Weather is good in any season. In February, temperature reached 25° to have meal on a terrace of one of the many restaurants in the harbour, with affordable prices.
It is nice to live there!
