Stunning mountainside location, minutes from Chamonix-centre

Apartment Campanule sleeps four people with one twin bedroom and one bunk cabine room. The sofa in living room area can also be converted to twin beds for occasional use.

There is a newly refurbished bathroom with shower attachment and heated towel rail and a separate W.C. The apartment also has a hairdryer and iron with ironing board at your disposal as well as a boot dryer.

In the living room area you will find a newly installed kitchenette with an oven, four-ring ceramic hob, under-the-counter fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and electric kettle and coffee machine. There are cookware and place settings for up to six people.

The windows offer simply stunning views of the Chamonix valley and to the mountains beyond and the small balcony is a lovely spot to sip a glass of wine at the end of the day enjoying the afternoon and evening sunshine.

Campanule has a television with built-in DVD player which does not show televised channels but we do offer a selection of DVDs as well as books and board games.

Although the apartment has no allocated ski locker, guests often store equipment on the balcony as it is inaccessible other than through the apartment. The total surface area of Campanule, excluding the balcony, is 38m².

Travelling with children:

For our guests travelling with little ones please note that the Chalet Beaumont includes a cot, highgchair and box of toys free for the duration of your stay and these can be requested during the booking process.

Chalet Beaumont

Chalet Beaumont is home to seven rental apartments of which Campanule is one. The Chalet is situated in the quiet hamlet of Le Mont, just above Les Bossons, between the village of Les Houches and Chamonix town centre, which are both five minutes drive away. The Chalet's views of the mountains and valley are stunning and take your breath away every time you see them...

With fully independent access for each apartment and without views of the other apartments from inside you will be well placed to enjoy the calm of the mountains, away from the crowds.

Ski lifts:

The distance by car from Chamonix's ski lifts are as follows:

Brévent, in Chamonix town: five minutes

Les Houches: 10 minutes

Flégère: 15 minutes

Grand Montets, in Argentière : 20 minutes

Le Tour: 25 minutes

Both Courmayeur in Italy and St Gervais, linking to Mégève, are also 25 minutes drive from us.

Driving in Chamonix:

We usually recommend having a car when staying at Chalet Beaumont as this really helps you to make the most of your time in the valley as Chamonix is more spread out than most mountain resorts. With lots of free parking at the chalet, a straightforward drive into the valley from the motorway and car parks at all the ski lifts it is very easy to get about by car in Chamonix.

Winter Tyres:

Please note that the local authorities are very good at gritting our road and clearing it quickly when snow fall is heavy. From December to March you must have winter tyres on your car. This is standard when renting a car from the Swiss side of Geneva airport and expected when driving in the mountains.

On foot and by bus:

Walking down from the chalet there are three local restaurants: Le Tremplin, La Cremerie du Glacier and l'Hôtel Aiguille du Midi; all are a 5-15 mins walk from Chalet Beaumont. There is also a bus stop 10 minutes away, just opposite La Cremerie du Glacier. The bus will take you into Chamonix town and to the Flégère ski lift. The train station of Les Bossons is a 15 minute walk down the hill and in the warmer months it is a lovely 30-45 minute stroll into town. As the bus service stops at about 7.30pm you would need to book a taxi back after this time. Please bear in mind that it is a relatively steep walk back up to the chalet so add 10 minutes for walking back.

Local Hiking

Going up from the chalet, you can enjoy a 45 minute hike up to a viewing platform overlooking the glacier and if you peer hard, you may see ice climbers risking life and limb amongst the awesome crevasses and pyramids of ice. There is also a chair-lift which opens in the summer season taking visitors from the valley floor directly to the viewing platform and the Buvette du Glacier des Bossons, a pleasant café where you can get a drink and a snack whilst enjoying the stunning views.

Continuing on, now a more serious route, you will eventually come to the junction of the two glaciers, Bossons and Taconnaz, where you can marvel at the spectacular views of Mont Blanc's ice falls. Some of the most famous hikes in the valley begin on our doorstep and indeed the first ascent of Mont Blanc, by Jacques Balmat and Doctor Paccard, started from our hamlet in 1786.

2. A moins de 8 semaines de la date d’arrivée à CB, le montant total est dû. Au cas où le solde dû n’est pas payé 8 semaines avant la date d’arrivée, nous réservons le droit d’annuler la réservation, retenir les arrhes et demander des frais d’annulation.
3. CB fera de son mieux pour accommoder toute demande de modification à la réservation suite à sa confirmation, mais ne peut pas s’y engager. Un frais de €15 par personne peut être facturé si une modification est acceptée.
4. CB réserve le droit, après l’échéance du solde, d’annuler toute réservation ou de modifier tout élément de la réservation quand les circonstances indépendantes de notre volonté rendent l’annulation ou telle modification inévitable ou si l’échéance du solde dû n’est pas réglée.
5. Si CB annule or modifie une réservation, le client sera averti au plus tôt possible et offert en cas de modification, le choix d’accepter la modification, de niveau équivalent, si disponible, si non un remboursement complet et rapide.
6. Veuillez noter que les appartements ne peuvent être occupées qu’après 16h le jour de votre arrivée.
