About this property

Relaxing River & Mountain Getaway.

Sit on the large back porch, or front porch, and enjoy the scenic views of your own personal river and mountain getaway. From the cottage you can walk down to the river and relax on your private dock, maybe even fish. Bring your boat or other water craft and take advantage of the boat ramp. Or, if the water is not for you then bring your backpack and go hiking, rock climbing, or hunting.
The RitchieTrail was just opened for a wonderful 2 mile hike up to prentice cooper - located just down the road at the Pot House. The Great TN wall is also located just a little ways past for hikers and or climbers.
The Fall is a beautiful time to be on the river with the bright colors covering the mountains.
Load up the family and visit downtown Chattanooga which offers such attractions as the Chattanooga Aquarium, Creative Discovery Museum, Chattanooga Lookouts, Historic Bluff View Art District,an array of restaurants, and many other attractions, including Riverbend Music Festival. Just a little further is where you will find Ruby Falls, Rock City, and the Incline Railway. All of which are just 20 minutes away!

Short vacation
Great location right beside the river. Perfect place to enjoy the evening on the balcony that overlooks the river and mountains. Comfortable bed in the master suite. Neighborhood dogs worried us when we first pulled up but they ended up being very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for another stay!

Relaxing Riverfront Stay
Property is clean and well cared for. Fall decor gave a nice seasonal touch. Beautiful location, enjoyed being right on the river. Great outdoor options - especially enjoyed the back porch, fire pit area, and dock.

The Home Place on the River was perfect for our group. The setting was wonderful and just want we needed. We really enjoyed the covered back deck for visiting and watching the boats on the river. The home is very comfortable! We had such a great time we hope to come back next year!

My name is Robin Phillips. This is the Home that I grew up in. There was a cabin in front that my Dad grew up in and that I lived in for a while. This house was built in 1972. When there are not guests staying, we are here having a good time. Thank you for staying and we hope you enjoy as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We are located on the Bank of the Tennessee River with mountains on every side. There are views at ever angle. Big yard and plenty of space for your family to get out side. 2 large porches to gather on and relax. So many adventures to be had.
