Sat at the edge of Argyll Forest Park in the Cowal peninsula at the foot of the magical Puck's Glen, Stravaigin Lodge is a self-catering Scottish log cabin just ten minutes north of Dunoon and within walking distance of Benmore Botanical Gardens and Loch Eck.

One of just 18 privately owned lodges, collectively known as Lamont Lodges, Stravaigin Lodge is a perfect base for exploring any number of gloriously tranquil glens and riverside walks. Or if you're looking for something a little more adventurous the magnificent Beinn Mhor is just up the road while the surrounding forests, rivers and lochs are the perfect place for fishing, mountain biking or quad biking.

Lovely location
Had a wee bit of a mixed start but when contacted Gordon the owner was all fixed out there was a damp smell when we arrived but once we put the heating on at night it was fin the location is very quite lot of nice walking around and nice places to eat .bounce was washing machine we all had a lovely stay would recommend this to friends

Amazing.
Eine sehr schöne Anlage, das Haus war bestens Ausgestattet. Die Hauptverkehrsstraße in der Nähe hat ein bisschen gestört aber war auch kein großes Problem. Jeden Morgen konnten wir Eichhörnchen vom Wohnzimmer aus beobachten, das war wirklich toll !

We stayed here ourselves for my 40th then were lucky enough to see a for sale sign the following year....the rest is history.

What makes this property unique

The lodge could not be in a better location. Just a hop over on the ferry from Glasgow but already it feels miles away from the city. From the lodge reaching the Arrochar Alps or Otter Ferry is a short drive. The scenery and wildlife is what makes this place so attractive to me and partner Catherine.
