We had a great stay, we got to visit our favorite people, our grandson from a great site near the beach. the Cottage was easy to find and a very short walk to a beautiful beach. Second stay and there will be more, I'm sure.

Cute Bungalow
The bungalow was so cute and had everything we needed! Brian was a super friendly guy and helped us with any questions we had. The location to the beach was perfect. I didn't get to spend much time on the patio but even that was well equipped. Perfect spot for a smaller family. We'll be back!

So close to beach. Great access. Loved the pet friendliness demonstrated. Hope to be back. The week at the shore was as relaxing and more than hoped for.

Wonderful Bungalow!
Just what the doctor ordered! The accommodations were quite comfortable. The weather was beyond perfect for early November and we loved the uncrowded beach! The only negative of our trip was that so many of the restaurants that we wanted to try were already closed for the season! It’s sad that full time residents can’t go to the Crab Shack during the winter months! Even the dogs settled in and they loved their walks! Thank you for a sweet place to rest and renew.

About the host

Hosted by Mark & Andrea Brown

Host profile image
Mark, an Indiana native, and Andrea having grown up in nearby Beaufort find Emerald Isle a hidden gem. A home away from home, Sound & SeaDogs is our happy place. The name SeaDog originates from the mascot of Beaufort High School from the 1940's.

Originally purchased as a foreclosure property, many updates and hours upon hours of labor and love have made Sound & SeaDogs a wonderful summer property. Just steps to the beach or to the sound gives the best of both worlds.

Why they chose this property

The perfect home away from home. Plus a wonderful family beach that's never too crowded. Just a minute's walk to enjoy a beautiful morning sunrise or afternoon sunset on the beach.
