Overview

About the property

1 BR, 1 full BA, and 1 quarter BA. Sleeps 4. Great location!

Sweet cottage in great location in downtown Rehoboth! Hidden Pines is one block from main street and just a half a mile from the beach. Even though the cottage is steps to fine restaurants, bars, and shopping, its location on a quiet, tree-lined block set back from the street keeps it as quiet as the country. Our lush, fenced-in private garden provides a relaxing, calming environment from your morning coffee to your evening barbecue. Downstairs is a living room, dining room and kitchen combo with a queen fold-out that sleeps two. Sliding glass doors open to our beautifully-landscaped yard that extends the space from April to October. Upstairs is our large bedroom (queen bed) and a newly-renovated full bath, with tub and shower.

Just park your car once and enjoy Rehoboth's restaurants (everything from fine dining to fun and quirky), shopping and beaches of Rehoboth on foot! Everything you want is a short pleasant walk away. Hidden Pines is perfect for a couple or small family, and makes a great romantic retreat all year round. On rainy days, relax with a book, CD, video or board game from our library, or cook a gourmet meal with ingredients fresh from the Farmer's Market just a block away!

Sorry, we can't have any pets! We have allergies.

We look forward to having you at Hidden Pines!

About Ruth Eisenberg

We live in Washington, D.C. and have been visiting Rehoboth Beach for 30 years.

Ruth Eisenberg purchased this cottage in 2000

Why Ruth Eisenberg chose The Pines

This is a great little house - cheaper than a hotel, super-convenient location, great yard, make all your own meals in our well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful, quiet, landscaped yard increases your hanging-out space. Many of our guests become regulars and return year after year. We love it and hope you will also.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful weekend here, hanging loose for the first time since our daughter's wedding. We loved the vibe of the cottage, all the details and appointments. Thanks so much for sharing your place with us, we hope to be back.

Awesome stay, superb value

  • 5 of 5

I had an AMAZING time in Rehoboth thanks in no small part to Ruth & Leti an their gorgeous, quiet cottage just off Main St in Rehoboth! I was only staying for a few nights but it was well worth it. The place is comfortable, feels VERY private, is cutely decorated, and has a great private garden where I could decompress with a coffee in the morning. Plus the location is fantastic, just steps from all the best commerce in Rehoboth and not too far from the beach either.

I hope to stay again!

Nice and quiet

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was in a great location. We were off the beaten path, yet still within walking distance of the main resort areas. The kitchen was well equipped. The outdoor area was nice and quiet. Although we were there too early in the season for any flowers to be blooming, there was still lots of greenery to enjoy. We also enjoyed hearing all the birds and watching the squirrels. The living area was very comfortable and attractive. The only complaints I have can probably be put down to the fact that we came in the "off" season. It seemed a little bit like the owners were not quite ready for guests yet. Hopefully this would not be the case later in the season.

Great Cottage for Two People

  • 4 of 5

Finding the cottage was the first adventure, but the owner told us exactly what to look for and we found it relatively fast. Next is the key "lock box" that came over on the Mayflower -- but it still works just fine. Once inside we found everything we needed to enjoy our stay: first floor has a big living room with plenty of seating and a very large TV (more on that later); a large dining room with connected kitchen; a small half bath; and sliding glass & screen doors leads to a restful patio which we enjoyed every day. Upstairs has a queen size bed, and more seating; and a large bath. The cottage has window A/C units, but we did not need them due to the cool days we spent there. The best part is that everything works. At first the TV did not want to cooperate, but the owner (partners) walked me through the control wands and soon we were relaxing in front of our favorite shows; everything in the kitchen from toaster oven to refrigerator worked fine.

If we were younger we would have walked to the nearby restaurants, but driving and parking were a breeze especially before Memorial Day when parking becomes pass and pay.

I want to emphasize that the owner of the cottage was quite helpful in many ways, and her help was absolutely necessary. I would advise anyone who rents through HomeAway that owner selection is even more important than the property you are looking to rent. Thanks a lot to both owners.

Lovely spot in Rehoboth Beach!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend in Rehoboth Beach and have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay in this lovely cottage. It is a beautiful place, very clean and comfortable, and so convenient to all the fun things to do and see in downtown Rehoboth Beach. We were able to park right outside the cottage, in what seemed to be a very quiet, residential section of town, and then we didn't have to move our car all weekend as we were within easy walking distance of all the great downtown restaurants and shops, and of course the boardwalk and the beach. And Ruth was a pleasure to deal with from our first communication, when I originally made the reservation, to her willingness to help us out when we had questions about the new thermostat in the unit. We had such a fantastic time - before we had even started on way home we were already trying to figure out when we could return for another visit to Rehoboth Beach and a stay in this lovely spot!

Cute cottage near the beach

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were in town for me to run the Rehoboth Beach Marathon. What a wonderful location! It’s was just a few blocks from the finish and close to the start. It is near restaurants and museums. Ruth was very responsive to any question I had, both before we got there and after our arrival. We didn’t cook while in Rehoboth Beach but the kitchen did have all the basic supplies for cooking and the markets weren’t very far. In the summer the beach is a short walk. Would love to come back to explore more of the area, we have the perfect place to stay!!

Fantastic location on a quiet street only one-half mile from the boardwalk and one block from shops and restaurants on Rehoboth Avenue. We are also very close to a beautiful bike path. Park your car once and walk anywhere in Rehoboth Beach. Within a short distance you can drive to golf, pier or surf fishing, movie theatres and several outlet malls. The towns of Lewes and Bethany Beach are a short drive.
