Amazing Home
It was a beautiful house built into a hill. The house itself was amazing and beautifully decorated. The rooms were spacious and immaculate. The kitchen was huge - we didn't cook there but made coffee in the morning. The yard and patio were also immaculate. The property owners were on sight and available but also left us to ourselves so not intrusive. They were wonderful people and felt like friends by the end of our stay. All of us were very impressed by the house and loved the vacation. It was definitely "home" away from home and SO much better than a hotel stay.

The Perfect Black Hills Location
The pictures do not do this beautiful home justice. This was the perfect location for all of our Black Hills adventures. We could easily go north or south to all of the popular attractions, then come back to a peaceful and quiet home to watch movies in the family room, play pool & board games, or enjoy a quiet supper and drinks on the patio. We couldn't ask for anything more. The home is exceptionally well stocked and immaculately clean. The hosts were welcoming and attentive. The 2 dogs were shy but friendly after my son coaxed the one to come have belly rubs. They definitely stayed in their area but my son enjoyed the attention and puppy rubs. The property is beautul. There are many bird feeders and gorgeous potted flowers with lovely landscaping. We would not hesitate to rent again. Thank you Delbert and Yevette for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a wonderful time!

We grew up in South Dakota. I grew up in Eagle Butte & my wife in Sisseton. We lived in various areas of the country while in the Army & attending graduate school. Most of our married life was lived in Aberdeen, SD. We have two sons, one foster son, & 13 grandchildren. When contemplating retirement, we settled on the beautiful Black Hills. I currently work part-time at Denny Menholt Rapid Chevrolet & my wife manages me & the home front.

Why they chose this property

We started looking for property in the Black Hills in 2010. Property can be expensive here with limited accessibility. We would come out on weekends & holidays on the hunt. I tend to like new & my wife likes vintage. This earth home caught my attention, but my wife didn't want to look at it at all. It was listed above our price range & the idea of an earth home wasn't all that appealing to my wife. But we happened to pass it on the way to another property & our realtor said we could see it immediately. We fell in love with it. It sits on a hill above HWY 385 on 8 acres, has gorgeous sunrises, was like new, wildlife in abundance, & there are so many hiking trails nearby. We can't believe we live in such a beautiful place & start to take it for granted. We would love to share our good fortune with you. We are blessed!

What makes this property unique

In 2015 we hosted a family reunion here. It was perfect. Plenty of room for family inside & out. The grandkids love running around the property & forest. The house is also handicap accessible which is awesome. Couldn't be happier. The Black Hills has so much to offer for sightseeing & entertainment. This home is in the heart of it all, yet a bit set apart so you can stretch out without bothering any neighbors.
