GREAT TIME ON THE PENINSULA!!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely home! Plenty of room for our party of seven. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was spacious and clean. The views, AMAZING. We had a great time on the private beach and found ourselves close to local attractions and the Ranger Station. Don't miss local attractions: Hamma Hamma or Rocky Brook Falls, both just a short drive away. Plenty to see near and far.

Spacious, Quiet, Great View

  • 4 of 5

This was a great place to call home for three days while clamming in Dosewallips and hiking the area. A spacious deck with seating makes for a lovely spot to take in the morning sun while enjoying a cup of coffee and listening to the many Bald Eagles that cruise up and down the shore. A long flight of stairs leads down to the rocky beach front where, if you get there before high tide, you can collect a days limit of oysters (always check the wdfw website for shellfish safety first) and grill them right there on bbq setting on the first large landing up from the shore. The house itself was clean, simply but nicely furnished and very comfortable for our small family. Kitchen was outfitted pretty well too, though I will say that what was listed as a “large pot” only held about 1.5 quarts, tops. Barely able to cook enough pasta for our family of four. The house sleeps 8! So, if you plan on steaming clams, making chowder or a big batch of spaghetti, be prepared to bring your own! Also, it said there was a coffee grinder but there was none. Overall, because everything else about this rental was so nice, those two things weren’t that big of a deal. Nice place!

comfortable, clean and beautiful

This space was perfect for us. We needed to house friends who were helping us celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. It was really comfortable, with beautiful views.

Paradise

  • 5 of 5

Lovely location and view. Just some little house keeping issues: 1/4 inch of liquid soap left in the 2 bathrooms and the kitchen dispensers. No batteries in the tv remote. Large laundry soap container but it was empty and the dryer lint filter hadn’t been cleaned in ages! Bar stool legs were wobbly but required a special tool to tighten we didn’t have. Shower curtain hooks in the master bathroom too short to hold the water proof liner on. We rehooked it over and over but just opening it made them fall off again. Door on left side of the tv cabinet in the loft needs a hinge adjustment. The door falls off when you open it. We had 2 kitchen plastic garbage bags and no spares. But these are just little details, and the place is truly lovely.

Beautiful location and a cozy home

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful and really draws focus to the viewing the lake with the wide panoramic windows. The wood stove is a great addition for warmth on a chilly, rainy night and the dock is very peaceful. Great spot to relax in nature and unplug.

Unbelievable!!

  • 5 of 5

From the layout to the location this place couldn’t be more perfect. Then you walk outside and a bald eagle flies by. Then another, then another, we counted at lease 4 different eagles that constantly flew around the property. The stairs to the beach are a bit tricky and can be scary to let small children go down but nobody in our family got hurt or had a mishap. Looking forward to staying here again soon!
