Charming Mainsail Beach Cottage


Our Cottage is located in the Mainsail Resort complex and is less than 200 yards from the sand with no roads to cross. The cottage is perfect for larger families or two couples sharing the cost.
We are located in the Miramar Beach area of Destin. This area is the quieter side of Destin with beautiful sugar white beaches and perfectly clear water. We are close to Sandestin and all the shopping and restaurants located there.
Cottage # 21 offers three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths in a spacious 1745 square foot, decorated in a beach decor. It is a short walk to the beautiful, sugar white beaches of Destin.
The Master bedroom and bath are on the main level with two bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor.
Two bedrooms on the second level share a full size bathroom; the first bedroom has a queen bed; the second has two twin beds.
There is red oak hardwood throughout the downstairs, stairway and landing.
The laundry area is equipped with a full-size washer and dryer and located on the main level.
The cottage's patio and second story deck back to common ground and the heated pool. Parking for three cars is available directly in front of the cottage.
A daily beach set-up which includes an umbrella and two chairs is available at no cost.
The Mainsail complex has two pools, both recently renovated, tennis courts, shuffleboard and a weight room.
This gated beach community has 24 hour security.
We have had several guests who have stayed numerous times, tell us that they consider our cottage their second home!
We are within walking distance of Silver Sands outlet mall and many of the popular restaurants in the Miramar Beach area (Surf hut and the Whales Tail). Two of our favorite places (Pompano Joes and Captain Daves) are within a mile or two down Scenic Gulf dr.
This is a non-smoking Cottage and Mainsail does not allow pets.
We do not accept guests under 25 years old
Wireless Internet is available in the cottage.
We accept credit card payments through the convenience and safety of the PAYPAL system!

Perfect beach cottage
We enjoyed this cottage and location for our family’s vacation. The kitchen was widely furnished and we were very comfortable relaxing in the living room at the end of the day. The chair and umbrella service on the beach was a great addition. One less thing for us to carry. There was a little check in issue because of some glitch with vrbo and the phone number for the host was incorrect. We would recommend this cottage for a family and would stay here again.

Family Vacation
Had a couple concerns with the gate person but there were many checking in at that time. Never received the lock code thought there’d be a key. The A/C went out, the cabinet door in the master bathroom was off, the cold water faucet did not work in the master bath, the master bedroom mattress was really bad & the upstairs shower did not work well. Otherwise we had a fabulous time! All of the above things could be ignored but should be looked into! The A/C was fixed promptly & that was wonderful! Our communication with the owners was terrific! We truly had a terrific time & will always stay at Mainsail!

We have owned Cottage 21 since 2001. Our residence is in far west St Louis county so we are only able to visit two or three times a year. We offer our unit for rent which allows us to constantly upgrade the cottage. I always receive positive comments from our guests upon their return home after a vacation at our cottage. We have many guests returning year after year and they consider cottage 21 their second home.

Why they chose this property

We vacationed at Mainsail for many years and decided that the three bedrooms was perfect for our large family and would fit the needs of larger families or two families sharing the cottage. Our daughter recently purchased a condo also at Mainsail which allows us to have a family reunion every Spring with room for our family of 13, utilizing both units ....

What makes this property unique

This is a spacious and updated cottage that is close to the beautiful Destin beaches. You are close to the beach but without the noise associated with high rise condos. Plus you do not have to navigate the elevator or stairs when bringing groceries to the cottage.
It is perfect for Mom and Dad, children and the grandparents.
