About this property

New Cottage on Sapelo. Scenic ferry ride takes you to a different world.

This newly completed cottage is nestled into the cultural, historic and tree-canopied barrier island on the Georgia coast. With new furnishings, the cottage features air conditioning, a large porch, full kitchen, queen-size beds, and sofa bed in living room. There is a Chevy Suburban provided to explore the island and its seven miles of beautiful uninhabited beaches. The cottage is equipped with internet TV, Wi-Fi, and landline phone service.

Leave the stresses, cares, and worries at the Meridian, Ga. ferry dock, as you cruise the pristine tidal waterways on a seventeen minute ferry ride to Sapelo Island, where you will be met and escorted to your island retreat.

Photos represent the sights and natural beauty of Sapelo Island and its resident lifestyles, both present and historical. Sapelo is an active community. Many of the current residents have found work off the island and can be found riding the ferry to the mainland along with the school age children who attend classes in nearby Darien, Ga.

Very clean & bright house. Pine walls, floors & ceilings. Gray-blue kitchen cabinets w/ slate colored counter tops. Stainless steel appliances. 2 comfortable bedrooms & 2 BR. Nice front porch w/ porch furniture for a group or family to hang out in.

Sapelo feels like Home
Sapelo Island has always held a very special place in my heart. It is truly one of the unknown gems of the state, and I hope it stays that way. The history on the island is pure and untouched, as well as the culture| — if you want gift shops and boutiques, go to St Simons. We have stayed here a couple of times now, and absolutely love the tidal flat cottage. Tod met us at the ferry landing on the trip out, as always, he was very polite and courteous ( no surprise-his texts and phone calls prior to the stay were always polite, on point, and punctual.) The cottage was just as we remember from seven years ago- clean and orderly with everything we needed to enjoy an amazing family vacation (Once we figured out the dynamic of the coffee maker, and the fact that it did not have a decanter 😊). I honestly have zero negative feedback, there could have been nothing that would’ve made for a better stay.

Spring 2024
We had a great time staying at this beautiful house on Sapelo. The house was a perfect place for us to rest after spending our days exploring the island. Tod was extremely helpful with ensuring we knew how to properly navigate the island.
