Sixth stay at 20 Goldenrod 202
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Another good visit. Unit was clean, Royal staff responsive (although TV issues are elusive). New refrig is a plus. Big TV in living area needs to be replaced or have some supplemental sound system added. Symptom is what we used to describe as "blown speaker" -- audio is loud enough but garbled, distorted. Small TVs are fine but audio on big guy is unacceptable. Simple fix is new TV but sound bar might do the trick. Have staff give it a listen. Disappointing that Watercolor amenities were mostly shut down. Some of this was weather but also lots of disruptive construction with primary paths to beach closed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, the location here is amazing! You can’t get closer to the Beach Club or beach access in Watercolor. The condo was more spacious than it looked in pics! The balconies are great and it’s so lovely to have an ocean view. Royal Destinations was very responsive and kind with any communication or issues we had. The unit itself has some issues. The sound from the condo above is very loud. You can hear every step. We were awakened every morning by foot steps. The freezer is not functional—RD serviced it 3 times but it only got worse. The fridge is old and falling apart. There are plenty of dishes but the cookware is old and needs replacing. We found multiple roaches. The pillows are terrible. We didn’t get a blanket for the pull out (though they did happily bring after requested). The door knobs leave your hands smelling metallic like pennies. There are two showers in the unit, however you can not run them both and once and have hot water in each. The hot water runs out quickly and every day one or two of my family of 5 had a cold shower. Plus the shower door is gross and covered in black gunk at the bottom. The baseboards are rotting/grimy in several places. There is about a dangerous 1” screw sticking out of a beam on the patio. Instead of removing it or screwing it in, it was just painted over. Overall, the unit needs some love and updates. It lacks the nice furnishing and finishes of many of the other Watercolor homes. It is directly behind the restaurant at the beach club. One night around 10pm to pressure washed all of the equipment until at least midnight. It’s incredibly loud right outside the primary bedroom. (Apparently this is done weekly). It says in the description that there is a grill but there is not. We did love using the provided bikes. We were there at peak season and it was challenging at times to get a parking spot. If being close to the beach if your top priority, this is your place. If a quiet peac

Bring ear plugs, rent your own bike, don't lean on the rail
Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would rent this unit again if I needed to vacation with my dog. However, the multiple reviews about the stomping noise from the unit above are true. The multiple reviews about the noise from the gym below this unit are true. Those problems are easily solved with earplugs. The bicycles were not usable due to flat tires. We complained more than once but the tires were never addressed in a manner that improved them to a usable condition. Easily solved by renting your own. Not worth missing one day of enjoying being on your bicycle by waiting on someone who has no intention of restoring the bikes to a usable condition. Also, none of us are allergy sufferers, however, we all suffered sneezing, runny noses, headaches, etc. We thought it was the weather due to Ida passing through. On the last day we were there we checked the filter for the air conditioner. It was completely clogged with debris. Fortunately, there were extra filters and we replace the dirty one with a clean one. Our symptoms cleared up right away. Also, some of the structure of this building is decaying. The support posts around the outside are in the process of being replaced. This did not bother us, however, the deck railing on the side of this unit started to give way when one of us leaned on it. We reported it and stayed clear of it. We told them not to worry about fixing it until we left. Hopefully, the management company will address it in a more timely manner than they addressed the unusable bicycles. I do plan to post the pictures we took on Trip Advisor. The pictures include the disgusting filter on the air conditioner, the flat tires on the bicycles, the dangerously loose railing. I typically simple ignore requests to review when my opinion includes a negative review. However, due to this management company blowing up my email with requests for a review, I finally complied with the request!
