Family Vacation on Bras d'Or
Amazing getaway for a large family or group. Each of the cottages are clean and roomy with a great atmosphere and plenty of space. Katie is a friendly and communicative host - even though we didn't need any help, I have no doubt she would have helped us resolve any issue quickly. Looking forward to booking again next time we're in Cape Breton!

About the host

Host profile image
Our descendants all come from Cape Breton and moved to Halifax and Boston in the early 1900's but Cape Breton is where our heart's are. Three generations of family come back each year to this very special part of the world that is so beautiful and a respite from the heat and pace of city life.

Why they chose this property

Our parents were avid sailors and The Brasdor lakes provide some of the best saling in the world. Our property is right on the water with spectacular views so they fell in love with the property on their cruises throughout the lakes back in the 50's.

What makes this property unique

This a Two Hundred Forty acre property with three cottages. The main house offers a great family gathering place, the adjacent cottage offers great privacy and finally there is a one bedroom art studio. The main cottage has a brand new expansive deck that is wonderful for taking in the spectacular views and reading books.
