Gorgeous Views
I gave this 5 stars because we really enjoyed our week in this cozy little cabin. I'm going to detail some things about the property that I would have liked to have known and may make a difference to someone when trying to decide if this is the one for them. The property is a narrow long strip, steep from a tamped gravel road (great shape though), steep narrow driveway (in great condition) but narrow and you have to go down in reverse with a drop off on the house side so little room for error. There are a series of short steps from the driveway to the deck. Facing the house the deck is open on the left side and has small opening on the right. We bring folding gating for our little fur balls everywhere we go and worked well for our grandson as well. The cottage is very close to the water so if you bring small children you can't take your eyes off them. On the other hand the sound of the water hitting the edge is great. The house WAS SPOTLESS!! Living area, dining and kitchen as well as bathroom are all on the ground floor, 2 small bedrooms and small loft are on the second. We bought some night lights as it gets pitch black at night and walking down to the bathroom could be tough in the dark. One bedroom with a queen mattress and box spring on the floor, no frame, 2nd bedroom with full size bed. The top of the stairs ceiling is low (I wouldn't have noticed I'm vertically challenged at 5'2",) My husband whacked his head twice and remembered thereafter (he's 6') :) The water has a sulfur smell so we used bottled water though I'm sure it's safe and probably the whole area is the same, my parents house is the same and after a while you get used to it, great water pressure however. The cushions have been updated since the pics were taken, and the kitchen stove is now black so must have been updated as well. Kitchen has plenty of cookware, dishes etc. Loads of seating in LR largest piece is the love seat though too short for napping of taller person. Outside furniture was also updated and quite comfortable. The view of the lake was great, I wish I could post pictures with the review, I'm an early riser and documented all 7 sunrises. I'm guessing this last bit is seasonal but the neighbors have a metal roof and the acorns falling on it were quite startling the first day, we kept thinking something was breaking LOL. All in all great place to rest and do nothing, did go play mini golf with our grandson.

Beautiful
The house was cozy and beautiful. The view was amazing. My dog had the most fun since she got to swim all day everyday. The people in the neighborhood were so friendly.

Lovely vacation spot
This was a very nice vacation spot, the views are spectacular all day but especially in the early morning and evening. The mist on the foothills and mountains to the east was so peaceful and lovely, lots of waterfowl overhead and in the water, the clearest water we have ever seen in a freshwater lake, and so quiet and peaceful. The stars were such fun to look up at, no ambient light here. The house is furnished nicely, plenty of dishes, bowls, pots and pans, large fridge and good gas stove. The beds need to be better, but not bad. The deck is furnished very well with such comfortable lawn furniture, picnic table and movable chairs for fishing off the dock which was really fun !! All in all, well worth the $ and the owners are quite nice and responsive to any issue. Oh yes, the house was as clean as a pin.

Returning for 3rd Time!
I can't believe I haven't rated the Daly cottage before, but the title tells the story! This is a beautifully appointed cottage; you really need bring nothing but your sheets and towels, and reading material. The kitchen has all the cooking utensils you'll ever need and is easy to work in and keep clean. Dining area has a vaulted ceiling with a skylight, so it's bright and sunny. The living room is large and comfy and the TV gets terrific reception, thanks to the cable. Bedrooms are comfortable, with dressers, closets and good lighting. The Mexican-style bathroom is large, with a huge shower and good hot water supply. The view from the deck is like something from a picture postcard. I love sitting there with my coffee in the morning, or with my iced tea and a good book in the afternoon. The fire pit is fun for after dark; make sure you have a good supply of marshmallows! Plenty of room for boat docking (my brother brings his bass boat). There's a free boat launch just down the road. Swimming area has crystal clear water, is weed free, and has the big plus of steps (not a ladder) down into the water, which makes it much easier for someone a little older (like me) to get in and out of the water. I've been vacationing at Lake Bomoseen for 30+ years, and I love this place so much that I make my reservation for the following year the week that I get home! Thanks, Jim, for sharing your beautiful retreat.
