Local zoning rules require that the majority of guests must be related (family).

We are pet-friendly BUT All pets must be approved by us in advance. Generally, only 2 mid-sized pets with good disposition will be accepted. Guests must clean up after their pets (inside the home and outside) or they will be charged an extra cleaning fee. Tell us about your pets before booking. We charge $15 per/pet per night but will offer a volume pet discount on longer-term stays.

No smoking, of any kind, is ever allowed in our house.

Extended stay guests with visits of 28 days or longer are required to have renter’s insurance and will pay a cleaning fee of $195.

We do not allow alterations to the check-out date or times after a guest party has checked in, instead, any request should be in the form of an additional reservation if there is availability.

This home is in New England where field mice are common, and while our house is super-clean, on rare occasions mice have gotten into our house. This has happened as a result of guests leaving the exterior doors ajar (propped open) and leaving unsealed containers of food in the cabinets and on the counters, mice will sneak in if the doors are left open. We employ professional extermination services to be proactive and have traps hidden in pet and child-safe areas of the house (like under the stove and in the basement and in the garage). We do not have a rodent problem but wish to remain proactive, so if you are freaked out by the possibility of seeing a trap or an occasional mouse trap then this place is not for you.

Family reunion was a blast - lots of nearby activities for kids
We were 6 adults and 5 kids under 8 and the home was great, very clean and well furnished, and the pack'n'play crib there was a welcome surprise for my 2 year old. Lots of shops nearby for groceries etc. From there we took the kids to Powder Ridge park (20 minutes away) and the IT adventure rope course at Jordan's furniture (15 minutes away). Thinks Rick for your hospitality and responsiveness whenever I had any questions!

Mice Infested
After seeing mice running on the counters in the kitchen we started to look around and found mouse traps all throughout the house including on top of the refrigerator. We also found mice droppings under the sink and stove and have the pictures and video to prove it. Nine of us (including 2 - 2 year old babies) had to vacate the property at midnight after complaining to the property owner and vbro resulting in additional unplanned hotel room charges. A formal complaint has been filled and working on a full refund. After spending $## for just two nights the owner did offer us a 50% refund of the money he receives but that would have resulted in a ~66% lost of total charges if I cancelled my reservation immediately - I assume so I wouldn’t write this review. Having to travel to Southington to bury my father and then dealing with this disgusting property we are looking forward to going home. Stay at your own risk. Looks are very deceiving.

Close to Quinnipiac residence
This property is on a quiet street and about 10 minutes from Quinnipiac University. The property manager was excellent, and very responsive. The WIFI worked like a charm and the beds are very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Great location and well stocked
The location was great for the day excursions that we had planned and it offered enough room for our large group of 9 people. The owner had the place well stocked with items that we needed during our 6 day stay. It does deserve a 5 star rating. It was very hot when we were there and the thermostat is locked to only go down to 72F. The information book in the home says that they are on an energy plan and can only keep the thermostat between 70F and 80F. Because of that we didn't ask the owner to turn it down lower. A little warm to sleep for us from Minnesota. We found out later from the owner that he could have turned it down lower, so if we had asked we would have found out. If you need it lower - ask.
