Unable to stay
Unfortunately, we were unable to stay but were so impressed with how helpful Tammy was helping us to cancel our reservation. I am actually searching right now to figure out when we can rebook this reservation. If the listing matches the care of it’s manager, it is definitely one to book.

Weekend Getaway
We came up just to relax for the weekend. The property was amazing, no issues at all. This place is very clean and well kept. We enjoyed sitting on the swing overlooking the creek. It is convenient to restaurants and the grocery store. It’s also just a short drive to Blue Ridge Pkwy where we got to enjoy the mountain views.

I am so proud to be able to share this mountain oasis with my guests. I live just outside of Charlotte, NC and have a wonderful partner and three beautiful children. After growing up in Miami Florida and visiting these mountains for so many years, I decided to make North Carolina my home. My wonderful parents, who purchased this property, gave it to me and my two siblings. I will be utilizing the income from the cabin to help pay for my children's college. This cabin is" the gift that keeps on giving"!

Why they chose this property

Why is this area of the mountains so special? I started coming to this area each summer with my family when I was two years old. The beauty and majesty of these mountains is breathtaking. Every summer we would visit from Miami. We loved this area so much that my parents bought two houses here. Hominy Valley and Mt Pisgah continue to be my "happy place". Now that I have three children and a career, I am not able to visit as often. I have decided to share this amazing cabin and creek with others, so that they may find it to be their "happy place" too.

What makes this property unique

This cabin and property are so unique. The sounds of the creek in the early morning and evening, the chirping of the birds and beauty of the surrounding mountains give me a since of peace. Having the creek run the entire length of the property provides a wonderful scenic boundary. My parents house stands unoccupied on the back of the property providing additional privacy. It is so difficult to find property that is totally private today. You can only see one occupied house from the cabin. It is located about 300 yards down and across the creek. Our lifelong friends and neighbors down the road still live in Miami and visit the mountains only during the summer months.
