Some of the local activities in the area include visiting the natural hot springs in the Crystal river called the Penny Hot Springs. There are also parks to visit and numerous hiking and biking trails for additional outdoor enjoyment.

A little further out is the town of Marble where they mine marble and sell related items big and small at the local gift store. Marble is also the home of a tasty BBQ restaurant named Slow Grove'n BBQ. It is a favorite and worth the 11-mile drive to try. Driving the other direction is Carbondale where you will find shopping for daily items and local shops. There are also a number of restaurants offering a variety of different menu items; you are sure to find some favorites. Redstone is a quiet and peaceful little town with access to many diverse activities which can keep you as busy as you chose to be. The town is steeped in a rich history where former Presidents, Governors, and business owners spent summers to escape the big city heat. It is a quiet little neighborhood where people expect quiet times and a peaceful existence. Because of the surrounding neighborhood’s life style expectations this is a long-term rental home for mature adults 50 years old and older.

With warm summer days and cool summer nights Redstone is a perfect escape from hot summer heat at 7200 feet above sea level. If you enjoy sitting on the front porch of a home built with quality construction and beautiful clean architectural lines while listening to the river and experiencing cool summer breezes then this home will be calling you back each year for a classic Colorado Mountain summer experience in the heart of the White River National Forest.

Beautiful Home
As a retired couple we spent a month and really enjoyed the peaceful setting, away from the busy-ness of Carbondale, Glenwood Springs and Aspen, but still within easy driving distance of each. The photos on the listing are accurate but really don’t convey the quality of the home and the beauty of the valley, sandwiched between the towering red cliffs. Bard was a great communicator, established expectations, and made the stay easy. Highly recommend!

Great stay in great Redstone community
My family and I stayed in this cozy, lovely and well-appointed home for a month and and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful area and friendly community. We are in the process of moving to the area and staying here reinforced our appreciation of the beauty of the area, from the awesome view of the mountains, the soothing central meadow, the colorful wildflowers, to the constant sound of the Crystal River. To say nothing of the doe and her yearlings foraging for breakfast behind the house. The house itself has stylish, comfortable furnishings and all we needed for the extended stay. Bard, the owner, was very responsive to our questions both before and during the stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful property Redstone
I stayed 2 months in this beautifully maintained and very clean house in the heart of Redstone. Bard was vey welcoming and available for any questions or concerns. The neighborhood is friendly and the setting is spectacular. I work from home and was concerned about the internet connection being so remote. I did not encounter any problems with cell service, internet connection, zoom calls, or cable reception. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this property.
