About this property

North Twin private getaway

This six bedroom, three bath home is located directly on the beautiful North Twin Lake.

The home has a unique three level design with three bedrooms on each of two levels with the kitchen (newly remodeled in 2020) and living room in between on the main level. This allows you to configure your stay to meet your specific needs - adults upstairs and the kids downstairs? One family up and one family down? An attached garage provides convenience when the weather may not be cooperating!

The main bedroom is upstairs and has a king size bed and private bathroom. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, both with queen sized beds. Another full bath is also located on the upper level. The lower level has 3 bedrooms (one with two twin beds, the other two with queen beds) and a full bath. There is a full sized laundry room with a high efficiency washer and dryer.

Our home is located on almost 5 private wooded acres on the north shore of North Twin Lake. You will have direct access to great fishing on the lake during the summer, and ice fishing in the winter. Our property is just across the road from the Nicolet Chequamegon national forest providing a wealth of outdoor opportunities. There are several restaurants on the lake allowing you to boat out to dinner.

Our summer rentals run Sunday to Saturday (6 nights). This allows us a full day to clean and get ready for new guests, and to have some time to relax and enjoy North Twin!

North Twin lake is well known for its musky and walleye fishing. Our property provides over 400 feet of lakefront for you to enjoy the sounds of the loon and the flight of the bald eagles. A fire pit provides lake views while you roast marshmallows over the coals. Rentals from June 1 through mid October include the use of a 20 foot pontoon. Kayaks and various water toys for the kids are also included.

The home is fully furnished with all you will need for your Up North adventure. Bath towels, bedding, and extra blankets are provided in the bedrooms. The kitchen is furnished with dishes, glassware and cookware. A pellet grill is provided with an extra fuel on site. Internet is provided, and there is a 42” Smart TV for you to access media. There is also a TV with built in DVD/VCR and a small video library. A variety of puzzles, games and books are on hand for those days when you may be looking for some indoor activities.

While this property is perfect for us, there are a few issues we'd like renters to be aware of. 1) For summer rentals - there is an intermittent problem with swimmer's itch on the lake. This is most likely to occur in warm, shallow water. Having small children playing in the water near the dock is probably not a good idea! Swimming off the pontoon in the middle of the lake is no problem. 2) For winter rentals - we do not have good acces to the lake from the house/parking area for snowmobiles. Our driveway also has a bit of a slope, both off the road and coming up from the garage, so may be difficult to navigate in the winter. Our parking area for trailers is limited, especially in the winter when plowed snow piles up.

We loved this house - it is beautiful and sits on a beautiful lake, full of fish. The trails around this area are amazing. We had tons of fun, hiking, fishing, campfires, biking, etc. I highly recommend this place.

Family vacation
We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was perfect for our group of ten! Everything needed in the kitchen was provided. The cabin provided plenty of living space for our group to spread out or come together for family time. The property was clean and in a great location. We enjoyed the use of the pontoon. Will definitely look at trying to rebook in the future!!

Perfect place
The house was great and very roomy! Shelly was great to work with, we ended up getting a snow storm while there with about 2ft of snow and Shelly and her husband came out to help dig us out. We enjoyed our stay very much! Can’t wait to stay there in the summer!
