Ideal Landing welcomes you with stunning views of Kimble Lake from every corner of this property, inside and out. A main level open floor plan with fully equipped kitchen, dinning and living room open onto a large lakeside deck with additional dinning and casual entertainment space. The two story stone wood burning fireplace provides a true Up North feel.

An over-sized upstairs loft features more panoramic views, a king size bed, reading nook and plenty of storage. Downstairs you will find a 2nd bathroom, bunk room, full laundry, 3rd bedroom and a great room with gas fireplace. This is the perfect hangout for movie nights or a getaway for the kids.

Lakeside you will find 200’ of immaculately maintained shoreline with level elevation. Kimble Lake is spectacularly clean lake fed by springs but there are some natural aquatic plants along the shore that are protected by the DNR. A 30’ wide sand beach was landscaped in 2018 which is great for kids to play or just relax at the water's edge. Beach toys, chairs, stand-up paddle boards, canoe, hammocks, ample yard games and other water activities will all be available for your enjoyment. And don’t forget the lakeside fire pit with plenty of cut wood is mere steps from the water in case you want to take an evening dip.

Local attraction include Old Milwaukee Club and Norway Ridge Supper Club minutes away along with a public boat launch, Whtiefish Golf Club and Ideal Green Market Coop. Additional shopping, restaurants, breweries and entertainment in Crosslake, Pequot and Nisswa are all within 15 minutes drive.

Creature comforts include high speed WiFi internet (50Mbs+), 3 flat screen TV's and Roku on each TV. For those who prefer more classic entertainment we have a nice collection of DVD's that will turn back the clock and plenty of puzzles, games and books to enjoy.

Remarkable
My friends and I enjoyed an amazing stay at this property. The communication was great right from the beginning and the property manager was available whenever requested. This property was so private and quiet. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay! We are already trying to plan for next year!

Lake House Bliss
We loved our stay on Kimball Lake; we spent a lot of time on the shoreline with my grandchildren enjoying the sand and water. We adults took excursions out on the paddle boards, kayak and canoe. We even had a pirate birthday party with our five year old manning the flotilla from stern of the canoe. Plenty of life jackets in stock. The house is very comfortable, well stocked with everything one needs. The view of the lake is gorgeous and the sound of the loon so soothing. We watched a bald eagle fishing a lot in the center of the lake. We will be back!

Beautiful home right off the lake
It was a beautiful home right off a great, quite, clean lake. It was nice to have your own beach area that was mostly private from the neighbors. The only thing we noticed was there was a lot of dog hair on the carpet in the main living room and the couches seemed dirty/had stains all over them. We also didn’t realize until we got there that using the pontoon was extra money. I’m sure it was in the description somewhere and we just missed it when booking. Overall a very beautiful house, would for sure stay here again.

Exceptional Northern MN Lakefront Vacation Home
The property owner is highly responsive to all inquiries. Exceptional customer service. My son and I suffer from allergies to pet dander and have stayed in VRBO rentals in which we are practically ill near the end of the week due to unseen dog and/or cat dander. This home is free of both. So happy not be congested and coughing! It is VERY CLEAN. The lake view from the house is spectacular. The kitchen is well stocked. Great layout of home. Very peaceful. Tucked in a beautiful wooded area. Beautiful shoreline and a beach for the kids!!! Wonderful, clean lake great for boating, tubing, fishing, and jet skiing. This is the best VRBO we've ever stayed in by far! "Dockside Rentals" out of Nisswa is great for working with if looking for watercraft rental. We rented a jet ski from and had a great experience.

The Brekke's currently live in St. Louis Park, MN with our three young children and yellow lab. Jesse grew up in Eden Prairie and attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. I work in sales and enjoy hanging out with the family, basketball, golf and am a die-hard Vikings fan. Debbie grew up near Sioux Falls, SD and attended the University of Minnesota. She is also in sales and enjoys her family time, cooking and decorating.

Our kids are all under six years old and love being outside and pontoon rides.

Why they chose this property

My wife and I have been enjoying trips to Kimble Lake with friends for over 20 years and had the opportunity to buy this amazing property on the lake we love. Kimble Lake is a perfect size lake for recreational boating, fishing, paddle boarding, beach time, loon observing and just about anything else you can expect from an Up North lake. The community on Kimble Lake is very close, warm and welcoming and take great pride in keeping Kimble clean and beautiful.

Kimble Lake is spring fed and part of the Ossawinnamakee Chain of Lakes. You will see two sets of loons on the lake throughout the spring and summer...please be sure to respect their privacy as they raise their young chicks and keep your distance from them.

What makes this property unique

Ideal Landing, like many of the homes and cabins on Kimble Lake, sits on a bluff which provides stunning views of the lake from every room in the home. The slight elevation creates a birds eye view of the water allowing you to see everything that is going on down at the beach and on the water. It's truly amazing every time you walk in.
