Bright, open (600-square-foot) luxury apartment in a unique building located on a beautiful sandy beach, in the town of St Jean de Luz & the apt has a mountain view. This grande flat is perfectly located on the boardwalk, in a quaint, safe village with a never ending list of things to do. A world class water spa is below! Camino de Santiago trail is close by; walk to Spain (3 hours).
~ A once in a lifetime vacation!

Use as a base: Spanish Pilgrim Walking Tour: Camino de Santiago (St Jean Pied de Port 1 1/2 hr train), San Sebastian (1 hr), Bilbao (Guggenheim 2 hrs), Bordeaux (1 1/2), Paris (5).
Ease of living; 2 elevators, fully equipped and everything is included. Rentals are Saturday to Saturday only. Beautiful wide open sunny apartment with office area, internet, a MAC computer with 21" screen, printer and free long distance telephoning! Our apt is for couples only.

L'arrivée était impersonnelle: clés à récupérer dans une boîte. C'est seulement après plus de 24 heures que nous avons trouvé la farde avec les explications permettant d'utiliser TV et internet. Bel espace de vie et literie de très bonne qualité. Equipement très complet: il ne manque rien. Bruit de conduites d'eau assez perceptible, parfois la nuit. Très bonne localisation pour profiter de la cité des corsaires.

Appartement très confortable et très proche de tout . A 2 pas de la plage . On s'y sent chez soi magnifique vue sur la Rhune. Très bien éclairé et très pratique.

Studio in St Jean de Luz
Das Studio in St. Jean de Luz ist sehr gut gelegen: Fast direkt am Strand und Mitten in der kleinen Stadt. Obwohl es nur ein großes Fenster hat ist es hell und hat sehr schöne Morgensonne. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, bei Ankunft waren das Bett bezogen und im Badezimmer waren genügend Handtücher vorhanden. Die Küche ist etwas klein, aber sehr gut ausgestattet, so dass wir unsere Speisen zubereiten konnten. Negativ war, dass es kein Wlan gab. Zwar wurden wir einen Tag vor Ankunft darauf hingewiesen, aber bei einem Studio dieser Preisklasse müsste es möglich sein, technische Mittel zu finden, um trotz der Abwesenheit der Wohnungseigentümer eine Möglichkeit zu finden. Sehr positiv war die Hilfe der Concierge, die uns z. B. beim Ausfall des Wäschetrockners sofort helfen wollte und auch sonst sehr hilfsbereit war. The studio in St. Jean de Luz is very well located: almost directly on the beach and in the middle of the small town. Although it only has a large window, it is bright and has very nice morning sun. The facilities are very good, on arrival the bed was made and, in the bathroom, there were enough towels. The kitchen is a bit small but very well equipped so we could prepare our food. Negative was that there was no wifi. Although we were informed of this the day before arrival, but with a studio of this price range, it should be possible to find technical means to find a way despite the absence of the apartment owners. Very positive was the help of the concierge, who wanted to help us e.g. with the failure of the tumble dryer immediately and was otherwise very helpful.

Greg and I live on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. We have an air taxi, flight instruction company called FLY! He is a commercial pilot/instructor. I used to be a business owner for 20 years (alternative health), and am now an artist, entrepreneur (still) and enjoy yoga, family, volunteer work and life in general!

Greg and I are in love with our 2nd home in St Jean de Luz! You will find us there from Dec 1 to Apr 1 - 4 very special months!

Why they chose this property

We can walk everywhere! It is a magical, very safe haven, with 'eye candy' constantly in front of us! The architecture and history, the art galleries and the cafes - words don't describe St Jean de Luz! ...Ambiance!

What makes this property unique

Every morning and evening, we walk the beach. This year (2011) it has been warm enough to just people watch while sitting on the beach. We walk to Hendaye or Biarritz (3 1/2 hours) regularly - actually, we walk everywhere! The spa is always available, and we use it often. Tues and Fri's are market days - fresh vegetables, eggs, and everything else! As we are here 4 months, we use St Jean de Luz as a stepping stone to visit Spain and other areas of Europe. We don't need a car as public transportation: train, bus and air are all so conveniently located. There are many art galleries (I love to paint), and window shopping is extraordinary, or just watching people in the streets is a sport in itself. St Jean is very animated!
