Always perfect and never disappointing. So close to the river you can hear it and actually feel the cool breeze coming right off of it.

River's Edge Family Trip
The property is as beautiful as the pictures, if not more. If you have fly fisherman in your group they will love it! The weather was poor while there but that is on Mother Nature. Fun little communities close by and not that far from Asheville. House very well stocked with all anyone would need to have a lovely trip.

Summer Getaway
Amazing time enjoying this beautiful property. Meals on the porch, afternoons splashing in the river, and evenings watching the firefly’s come out to play…this is my ideal summer vacation. The home also had excellent wifi access, good cable connection for tv viewing, and fun board games to keep us entertained. Hosts are prompt in replying and gave excellent recommendations. We had a fantastic time at the River’s Edge!

Great house on the Hiawassee
We enjoyed our stay in this house so much in 2022 that we returned this year! It's a good house in a great location that more than met the needs of two couples. Memorable meals on the deck listening to the water and the birds!

Lovely property
Well appointed home in a very good location. Very easy access for our daily field trips to numerous waterfalls, boating on Chatuge, Brasstown Bald mountain, Ducktown Badlands and Lost Sea Adventures. Listing was accurate and owner was responsive and easy to communicate with. Black Dog in Hayesville is a family favorite, great atmosphere and food. Carol

About the host

We are Husband and Wife and 2 teenage children that built this home with the help of our brothers. There is a lot of love and time spent making this house a home, and we are thrilled to share it with the many people, including family and friends, that have already stayed here. We know once you visit, you are sure to return.

Why they chose this property

We chose the area because of its charm and year round activities. There is not another property on the river that has such a wonderful view and the convenience of still being within 5 miles of town. The sounds of the rushing river make relaxation instantaneous. There is not a moment that we ever regret visiting the area and cannot wait to one day live here year round.

What makes this property unique

We enjoy our home here on the river because of its charm and the fact that every season holds some special memories that were made in this home. From the first Christmas we stayed and filled the home with our special holiday decorations to the first Thanksgiving turkey we cooked, our most memorable times were spent in front of the log fireplace inside and our firepit nestled between our river cabin and our friends' river cabin. Spending time with our family and friends at this cabin is always our greatest joy. Reconnecting with our out-of-town family and making more memories with our family and friends have made this home just that; a home filled with a lot of love and memories that we will cherish forever.
