This is the PERFECT house for your vacation, family reunion, or golf trip! There's plenty of room for everyone and plenty of things to do in this tastefully decorated home. Renovated modern kitchen for 2024 season (pictures to follow).

This 2000+ square foot beach house is uniquely located between a tidal canal and signature lowcountry saltwater creek, and boasts two lovely views. The expansive views of the marsh are enjoyed off a large deck. Beach access is direct and easy, just a 4 minute walk over the adjacent canal footbridge. The location is pristine, and very convenient to the fabulous restuarants and TEN great golf courses in the area. Check out charming Charleston, SC which is a little over an hour's drive.

Other amenities include a canal-side dock which is a great location to fish and crab, two kayaks and two paddle boards available for exploring the surrounding inlets, air conditioned laundry room with extra full size refrigerator on ground floor, outdoor shower with hot/cold faucets and changing room, beach provisions (chairs, umbrella, cooler, toys and towels), bikes, ping pong table, basketball hoop and flat screen TVs throughout. Great Home base
We had the best time at this house that was beautifully located on the marsh, but also a short and easy walk to the beach. We used the crab trap to catch and cook blue crabs, fished from the dock, took the kayaks for a ride, made a fire in the chiminay, played games at the kitchen table, and watched movies in the living room. With a crew of little boys and teenage girls, there was something for each of us to do. The brownies Barb left for us was an incredible touch of hospitality and we enjoyed them thoroughly! Would love the opportunity to rent this home again!

Golf Trip
Great stay. The home was exactly as described and had everything we needed. We stayed here for a golf trip and the home is located very close to a lot of the popular golf courses in the area.

Great location and house
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The location ndxt to the bridge allows for easy access to the beach. The house was well stocked with beach toys, chairs, kayaks, nets- all the things our kids could enjoy! We had a lovely stay and would come again! The brownies upon arrival were delicious!!

We are the Patrick Family, from CT. For years we have dreamt of having a 2nd home near the beach, and we found South of Northrop in 2017, our little gem in Pawleys Island. We were instantly enamored by the friendly people in town, the perfect climate of coastal SC and this perfect vacation spot.

Why they chose this property

We have traveled far & wide for many years and love exploring new places. We have NEVER seen a location as unique as that of Sportsman Drive and South of Northrop in all our travels. Not only does the home boast gorgeous water views on both sides of the house (canal on one side and marsh on other), it is a convenient and easy 4 minute walk to Litchfield beach access. The walking bridge over the canal is directly adjacent to our home, making this walk to the beach super easy and quick. Our home is close enough to Rt 17 to be convenient to shops and groceries, but far enough that we don't hear the traffic.
