Ground Unit #9B Oceanview condo in Halii Kai, famed newer development near Waikoloa Hilton and Mauna Lani beach homes. Halii Kai has an incredible salt water pool, spa covered workout room, poolside restaurant/bar right on ocean front. The beautiful condo development also has tennis court, basketball court and hammock. Unit 9 B was recently upgraded in October 2019 with new tile, new Roman shades in bedrooms, new stackable washer and dryer, additional ceiling fan on Lanai, new area rugs and new linens. Additional Tile and paint completed in May 2020.

This Villa #9 B is new to the rental pool. It has been kept immaculate and very elegantly furnished with everything you need from full kitchen, stocked laundry room, furnished Lanai and BBQ/grill. Master suite has an Ocean/Golf course view. An added bonus is a 1 car garage including amenities for the beach. Guest room has twin beds with conversion to King bed on request. The living room sofa is a new Queen sofa sleeper. There is an additional double inflatable bed and linens in the hall closet sleeps 2. All furnishings, appliances and supplies are in excellent condition. Kitchen has basic starter supplies for cooking (spices, olive oil, etc). A new dishwasher installed January 2018. New washer and dryer and Microwave installed end of 2019.

The trade winds are wonderful, but on really hot days it is nice to central air conditioning and ceiling fans to cool you down after a full day of fun in the sun. And you are a very short walk to the incredible Ocean Club Bar and Grill. This Ocean Club is literally in front of the Ocean. It opens for lunch at 11:30 and Happy Hour is 3pm to 5 pm. The tropical drinks and full bar has excellent food and drinks. Top Chefs have been involved in its development since 2008.

Halii Kai is built on 30 acres of prime real estate on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii's Big Island. Hali'I Kai Resort charges a daily resort fee for use of all amenities at $20/day. At check in they will charge directly to guest. A maximum of $500 is the resort fee for 4 weeks or more stay.

A week to remember
First off the condo is very well represented in the pictures provided. Very accurate in all descriptions. Amenities are top notch and the condo is well taken care of. It was ready early for us which was greatly appreciated. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was my dream pool and it didn’t disappoint. Only thing that we are not used to was the rules of no outside beverages due to the fact it has a bar within the club. Not even a yeti with ice water was allowed. I will say the food we did have at the club was very good and the Mai Tai’s were the best we had out of the many we had in our 2 weeks in Hawaii. Lisa was in constant contact with me before booking and right up until go home time. She kept us informed of road closures due to the Ironman taking place the day we left and all the road closures. She is one of the most caring hosts I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I can’t thank her enough. I would suggest this condo to anyone I know. A ++ rating

Just perfect
Condo is just as described and more. Very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you need for your stay in Hawai'i. The location is an easy drive to beaches and shopping. If you don't want to leave the grounds the pool and club house are excellent too. We hope to be back soon.

Great place to stay! We'll be back....
The Resort - The Hali'i Kai is one of the best - we have been to all the islands and to a number of different hotels/condos, etc. and this is our favourite - great location near to almost all the best beaches on the Big Island, beautifully landscaped property, upscale and well maintained units, beautiful pool at the ocean's edge. Big bonus for us is the Ocean Club restaurant. Wonderful to be able to start happy hour at the pool and stay for sunset. Servers Kathy and Safire are attentive and the restaurant food is good. We love the combination condo style units with the resort option of an on-site restaurant. The hot tub with its sandy bottoms is one of our favourites. Our only comment on improvement for the resort would be a few more umbrellas or cabanas down at the pool for more shade at times. Otherwise, the pool furniture is super comfy and having towel service is a huge plus. We also make use of the tennis courts by playing pickle ball and in years past our son has enjoyed the basketball. The Unit - This is a two bedroom unit that is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities you should need for your stay. Loved the new flooring! We appreciated the binoculars - likely for whale watching but we used them to check out golfer's shots on the nearby fairway. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai with the ocean view and view of the morning golfers. Sunset on the lanai was fantastic - we were torn with being at the unit or at the pool for sunset as both are fabulous. Bed was comfy, there were lots of towels and supplies such as shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. We only used the air conditioning at night but that was a big bonus this trip as it was very humid and few Tradewinds during our stay. Another huge plus to us this trip was the Waikoloa golf option - we played a couple of rounds at discounted rates thanks to the membership by the owners. We are big walkers/hikers, etc. and oddly one of our favourite things was driving down to the pool and back in the unit's golf cart - that was special! The owners have lots of great toys in the garage - from the golf cart mentioned, 2 sets of golf clubs, bikes, beach chairs (great Tommy Bahama ones), tennis racquets, etc. The Owner: Lisa was great to deal with and very responsive to any e-mails. She really went out of her way to make sure our stay was a good one. The check-in process was easy and the staff at the Castle Resorts were friendly. We'll be back!

Wonderful unit with amazing view!
To start, Lisa is just awesome. Every question answered promptly. The unit is wonderful. Fully stocked kitchen. Very clean. Modern appliances. Golf clubs in the garage helpful. Golf discount is huge - especially for a foursome that plays every day. We will miss having our morning coffee overlooking the 6th hole and the ocean. I highly recommend this unit!
