10/10 Helen Spot to Stay
I love when a cabin gives you that "cabin feel" - this property gives you just that. You are secluded atop a hill, surrounded by woods. You walk in and are greeted with that rustic feel you hope for in a cabin-stay: the structures are wooden, the decor is cozy and warm.
My husband and I slept in the upstairs loft, our one year old slept in the downstairs bedroom in his pack-n-play (this room gets nice and dark at night, which is excellent for parents whose children sleep better in the dark!), and our two dogs slept on the floor in the living room.
Anytime our son was asleep, be it naps or down for the night, my husband and I were in that hot tub! Relaxing during the day and even more so at night when you turn on the twinkle lights, put the jets on high, and can look up at the stars and not hear anything but the sounds of nature and the hot tub bubbles!
This cabin is mere minutes away from downtown Helen. In the past we stayed nearby in the town of Cleveland and would only venture to Helen maybe twice a day, because it would be about a 20 minute drive from our rental. This trip, however, we went back and forth from town to the cabin so many times because of their proximity. Their closeness was convenient for meals, baby's naptime, groceries, things to do, and if you forget something it's a few minutes drive.
Communication was excellent: the hosts responded SO quickly and answered any questions/concerns. They clearly have their guests in mind when renting their cabin out.
