About this property

Swimming, Boating, Fishing! 3 miles south of downtown Bethel

This 5 bedroom home was built in 2000, and has caretaker in a portion of the barn. The inside is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen is very big with a large custom kitchen table and a bar area that seats 4.

There are acres of property to roam on. 6 acres of land is across the street from the home alongside the pond . There is vegetation (trees and blueberry bushes) right up to the waters edge, with a nice dock area. You must cross the street to get to the dock area. Behind the house, there are some rugged trails and logging roads to roam around on. The logging roads were last used during the 2015 winter, so there should be some fairly open snowshoeing and XC-Skiing trails right on the property. The White Mountain National Forest is just to the south.

Great stay
Stayed here for a long weekend at Sunday River. House was great, close to everything, bedrooms are larger than photos make it seem, tons of room for all of us and our ski gear. Great communication as well. Would def come back!

Perfect spot for a big group
We stayed here for my buddy’s bachelor party weekend. We had a big group of guys, so having 10 beds was great. The location is great, just a 5 minute ride into downtown Bethel. Nice pond directly across the street from the house too! The communication with the owner, Jim, was excellent and his caretaker lives in another house on the property, but you didn’t even know he was there. Overall great experience, will definitely book this house again in the future.

Relaxing Vacation
Our favorite part of this VRBO is it easily accommodates large groups and the pond access. I grew up vacationing on this pond and it never disappoints. Jim is quick to respond to any questions and he has done some nice updates with appliances and internet. We'll be back I'm sure.

Bachelorette party
It was for a bachelorette party so the property fit nicely into our budget. House is super clean and a lot more spacious than the pictures show. Everyone loved the hot tub and the pond.

I am a family guy... a skier, a boater, a sports aficionado. There is nothing more important than family and friends. I appreciate sharing moments with family and friends together, playing cards, or swimming in the lake... hiking, or skiing. Sitting around a firepit under the stars... The Bethel community is full of great people, places, restaurants, and recreation. That is why I visit Bethel... and why you should too!

Why they chose this property

I bought this abandoned summer farmhouse in 1995 because of my love for skiing, and my desire to have both a ski house, and a lake house. No doubt, I had no idea what a labor of love I was getting into! Ask me about the day I tried to jack up the old farmhouse in order to pour a foundation underneath it... I'll fill you in on how this house, built in the year 2000, came into being!
