Reserve your beautiful Ozark experience within easy access of top Missouri attractions.
Enjoy this newly renovated farmhouse just over two hours from the St. Louis area in the scenic Ozark mountains of Missouri.  This turn of the century treasure has all the comforts of home with modern convenience.  It is situated on 260 acres with private access to the crystal clear Black River. The property would have 3 bedrooms and has 8 beds plus a hide--bed it will sleep 10 and has an indoor bathroom and the second bathroom is an outside enclosed shower and flushing toilet.

It is located near Missouri's best attractions, including Johnson Shut-ins State Park, Elephant Rocks State Park and the Ozark Trail.  Canoes and rafts are also available in nearby Lesterville, Missouri.

We got a bit off track but found it. We loved the open space and quiet. We spent a lot of time together (6 adults) in the large kitchen and in the screened patio space. We went down to the river and played around. Once we had the inside and outside lights turned off we enjoyed a pretty dark sky. We had a small telescope and some big binoculars and we were able to do some observing.

Beautiful and secluded
My group just finished our second annual visit to the black river farmhouse. Best location for stargazing, planning a float trip, or just relaxing at the private river front. A big upgrade from last year is that apple maps can now direct you exactly to the location using the address provided! House was clean, any instructions were clearly communicated in writing or in person. I also liked that there are two drip coffee machines and toasters, perfect for a group of 10 all eating breakfast together. Can’t wait to return next year!

Fantastic Vacation! Can’t wait to go back!
This was our second stay at Black River Farm House, and we loved it just as much this time as the last! The house is clean, comfortable and well-appointed, and Texas is a wonderful host. The solitude this property provides really makes for a fabulously relaxing stay. The private river access is awesome and is nothing short of a river-loving family’s paradise. Our crew loved (repeatedly) walking upstream to float down the mini-waterfalls, catching crawdads, looking for fish, and skipping rocks. The screened-in sitting area outside the house is perfect for morning coffee, as well as a great place to hang out in the evening after a day of playing in the water. There’s plenty of firewood provided which we took advantage of for nighttime s’mores and stargazing. We feel very fortunate to have found this property, and we’re super excited to have Black River Farm House as a place where we can make memories each year with our kids, family, and friends. We are already looking forward to next year’s trip!
