About this property

Rose Cottage is a romantic cottage in the foothills of North Georgia.

Rose Cottage has been set up as a romantic getaway however it will accommodate as many as four guests. The upstairs has a half bath and two bedrooms. One twin and one full. The downstairs bedroom is a queen size bed. The downstairs bathroom has a shower/tub. The upstairs can be completely closed off for privacy. Our Rose Cottage is on 16 acres, with many thoughtful and reading spots throughout the property. Chairs are available to carry where ever you would like on the property. There is a galley type kitchen that is fully equipped to handle all of your cooking needs.
We have always traveled a great deal and have always appreciated having clean places to stay. That and comfort is our priority for you.
We have been in the furniture manufacturing business for many years. The property has been photographed and featured in many magazines over the years. Victoria, Country Living, Early American Life, just to name a few. We love to create an environment for our guests that is pleasing and eclectic.

Best EVER
I’ve taken self-directed retreats with my sister or a friend for over 20 years in Clarkesville and this location is by far the best ever! The Rose Cottage feels like sacred space—so warm and welcoming and our host, Juli, was so loving and attentive. So peaceful indoors and out and we can’t wait to return.

Lovely cottage with it's own personality
Nice area to walk our dog. Decor inside cottage brings back fond memories of another time (reminded me of visits to a relative's home). Everything we needed was provided, as listed. Communication with owner was pleasant & replied quickly to any questions.

About the host

Host profile image
After living in the city for 25 years, we decided to come home to the old homestead and enjoy a different kind of life. On 14 acres, we have enjoyed renovating the various properties and adding animals for a different kind of life. We have traveled the world and settled in to the farm life. We have been many places and from that have learned what we think people need and expect for comfort. We love creating places for people to enjoy and we love meeting new people.

Why they chose this property

This property has been in the family for the last 50 years. We enjoy the quiet nights and being able to see the stars in the sky at night. We enjoy the wide open spaces and the small mountain vista that we can see from our backyard. The nights are quiet and the days are full of farm noises.

What makes this property unique

We are in the country, yet we are one mile from downtown Clarkesville. Within a very easy walking distance you can be in the downtown shops area, yet it is quiet and peaceful on the farm..
