Beautiful spot
We really enjoyed watching the sun rise each morning. The kitchen was well equipped. Lots of deer browsing around the property. Would have like to use the fireplace but understand insurance doesn't cover it. We arrived in the pouring rain and lights along the walkway would have been helpful.

View
View from the deck was amazing. Location 20 minutes to Bar Harbor. Wonderful trails everywhere. Charlotte’s lobster right around the corner. Seriously- watch for the deer right around there!

Relaxing Retreat
We had a spectacular time at the Ledges. I went with my parents and my dog, and we spent the week enjoying the food in Southwest Harbor, swimming in Echo Lake, and hiking Acadia. The Ledges is perfectly situated on MDI - close enough to Acadia but far enough from the crowds, and returning to the privacy and peace of the Ledges feels like a treat each and every time. New bed linens and pillows for each bedroom and towels in the twin room and kitchen seem like a small expense and would make the inside as terrific as the outside. We had a bit of trouble getting into the property as the keys were not where they were supposed to be so that was initially stressful, but was easily remedied as the back door had been left open.

The Best of MDI
The property was ideally located - both in terms of the setting itself and its location on the island. If waking up to the sunrise over the water and falling asleep to the sound of waves is your idea of a perfect house, this is the place for you. The Wonderland and Ships Harbor trails are nearby and are a great way to start or end your day. The carriage roads are also not to be missed. The house was spotless and very comfortable. It’s obvious that this was a well-used family home whose presence is apparent throughout. We are already planning our return trip.

Incredible views and so peaceful
The minute you walk into the home, you can feel that this is a well loved family home. It is a quiet secluded spot of paradise, central to Southwest Harbor and numerous hiking trails. We had such a lovely time again in this beautiful home - with its comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and stunning views. Thank you again for another wonderful stay, we cannot wait to return next year.
