Summary:
-THE WHIRLPOOL RIVER LODGE -
A cozy river retreat on the Holy Waters of The AuSable River - Nestled on 3.1 acres and 800 frontage feed of AuSable river perfection! A wandering creek shoots off of the main branch of the AuSable thru the cedar forest directly into a private reflection pond. This water then cascades back into the main branch of the AuSable creating a relaxing waterfall noise as well as creating a private island, accessible by two wooden foot bridges on the East and West sides of the property.

The Space:
Located on a private peninsula, the cabin is nestled among towering, mature Pines, with the perimeter outlined in mature Cedars, Birch, Tamarack and array of other Pines. Cozy, warm and humble, take a step back in time to enjoy the beauty of the world renowned, blue ribbon, Au Sable River.

The cabin is 1550 square feet with a large wood burning fireplace.

Guest Bedroom 1 - Twin over Full with Twin Trundle Mattress (trundle mattress meant for children)
Guest Bedroom 2 - Twin over Full with Twin Trundle Mattress - (trundle twin meant for children)

You can sleep a total of 11 people. Including Trundle and Couch pull-out bed.

Full kitchen comes completely stocked with everything you need to cook for your family and guests. Great room complete with fieldstone fireplace, vaulted wood beam ceiling with two skylights. Rustic knotty pine interiors and a riverside/reflection pond screened in porch.

Fishing amenities are outstanding, on the Holy Waters just upstream of Whirlpool where boats/canoes/kayaks can easily be launched for your put-in or take-out convenience.

You can enjoy Fishing, hiking, bird watching, mountain biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, hunting and much, much more.

The Whirlpool River Lodge is a recreational DREAM come true.
We know you will enjoy your stay.

IMPORTANT NOTE -
This property is located on the "Flies Only" and "catch and release" only section of the river. Traditional fishing rods, tackle or bait are not allowed.

Cancellation Policy:
Bookings cancelled at least 60 days before the start of stay will receive 100% refund.
Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of stay will receive a 50% refund.

Beautiful cabin right on the river!
We had an incredible time at this amazing property! We spent time wading in the river (saw a mink!) and reading in the hammock. It's located just a short drive away from Hartwick Pines, and of course the cabin itself is right on the Au Sable & is perfect for fly fishing! The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped for cooking for groups, and firewood was provided for the firepit. The cabin is clean and well maintained, check in was a breeze, and communication with the owner was excellent. I highly recommend this place, and we look forward to coming back!

It's a very nice cabin
The property is by the Au Suble river which is quite nice. Very quite and private property, but it's further than I expected from Grayling downtown. It had a big backyard where you can do qqb or firepit. Inside the cabin, everything is beautiful. Everyone had a blast that weekend. Will is very nice and easy to communicate.
