This cozy, yet spacious mountain cabin is located conveniently above Lake Gregory in Crestline, CA, within a 90 minute drive from the Los Angeles area. Escape to this newly updated home with an open concept kitchen equipped with new appliances and granite countertops. The kitchen joins the large living room with a gas fireplace and a large picture window where you can enjoy views of Lake Gregory from the front and the mountain valley out back. It has 4 bedrooms (1 upstairs, 3 downstairs,) 2 baths (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs,) large living room with breakfast nook, family room, laundry room, and a deck around 3/4 of the home and air conditioning upstairs.

For your grilling pleasure, a BBQ with propane is located on the deck right off the kitchen and family room. You can enjoy your meal using the the patio furniture on the deck, nestled among the oak trees .

Take in all the sights and sounds that the mountains have to offer: relax and watch nature from the deck; go fishing, hiking or swimming at Lake Gregory Regional Park; head-up to Lake Arrowhead or over to Silverwood Lake; take the kids to Sky Park at Santa's Village for rides and visit Santa; or enjoy winter activities nearby and in Big Bear.

Your experience will include free Wifi, Smart TV's and Blu-ray players upstairs, Smart TV's in each of the downstairs bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, flatware, dishes, etc.

Linens are provided. This includes sheets, pillow cases, and towels. You must provide your own beach towels.

There is ample parking, with 3 places directly in front of cabin and available street parking in front of the adjacent vacant property.

DECEMBER HOLIDAY BOOKINGS: Requests to checkout on December 24th or December 31st will not be accepted. When selecting dates for this period of time, please keep this in mind.

Extra cleaning supplies are provided so you can clean as you stay.

Comfortable and spacious house
We returned for a second time. This house is very clean, well supplied and very spacious. It has four bedrooms to accommodate everyone in our group. We enjoyed the fireplace, cooking our meals, playing games and watching movies. There is a beautiful view from the deck, so many trees. We really enjoy our family time together here. We look forward to returning to this comfortable and spacious home. Bernie is easy to communicate with, and she responds to our messages in a timely manner.

We had a great time. The house was excellent and the AC was welcome during an unseasonably warm summer. The view of the 4th of July fireworks over the lake was great! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Back deck was amazing, you are feeling like in forest. The only issue was bbq grill. Guests after us will enjoy very clean bbq grill. Overall we had great time.

Mountain getaway
The place was perfect for our two families. We had everything we needed. The Lake pass was so helpful since we went two days in a row. Low impact hiking where the kids could explore and we rented canoes! The weather was perfect. Goodwin &Sons was a great store for anything and everything, including an ice cream bar. Although there wasn't much of a yard, the kids slid down the slope and had a blast.

Our original-family-owned cabin is managed by Teresa and Carolyn, both granddaughters of the original owners. Teresa is a full time middle school teacher near the coast, and Carolyn is a software design engineer. Our vacation home was built and purchased in the 1950's and has remained in our family ever since. We are all native Angelenos, and have enjoyed countless family vacations here playing games, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with each other away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. We have spent hours hiking through the forests, riding motorcycles, fishing, swimming at Lake Gregory or waterskiing at Silverwood Lake. Winter-times would be spent building snow forts, hiking, skiing, and when we were little, visiting Santa at Santa's Village. This place has always been a favorite escape of ours and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

Why they chose this property

To escape the city and provide their growing family with a place to vacation, our grandparents, who lived in Los Angeles, purchased this property back in the 1950's. To this day, many family members still enjoy vacationing here to escape the city. It is the perfect place to get away and relax with friends, enjoy a hike around the lake, go shopping in town or nearby Lake Arrowhead, or gaze at the millions of stars at night. If you take a walk around the lake you might even recognize the main lodge that was used for Camp Walden in "The Parent Trap" with Lindsey Lohan. Teresa, who made the cabin her home for several years, as hers was being built nearby, states "As I take the winding road up the mountain I'd unwind with every turn, then I reach the peak and descend into the valley where Lake Gregory sits and it is like the weight of the world was lifted. This is a real home away from home, an escape from the fast pace of the city."

This is a great place to share with family and friends and feel in a different world that is only a short trip from the big city.

What makes this property unique

The open floor plan upstairs is the best for families, with all but one of the bedrooms downstairs. Upstairs we can hang out together, cook, and move from one area to the next without feeling cut off. We love relaxing in the living room and enjoying the westward view out the huge picture window or the eastward view of the beautiful oak treetops from the kitchen and family room.
