serene, quaint cabin
Cute, quaint 3-bedroom, small but old cabin. The hottub was very big and relaxing and the backyard view of the trees, firepit, and pretty pond were nice. The hosts placed wildflowers in a vase as a nice touch and there was coffee and standard kitchen utensils, although the kitchen is small. There's 1 full bathroom, a half bath, and a shower in a closet. Also, it's an old house so there's 2-prong outlets everywhere

We had such an amazing time at The Evergreen! It was absolutely beautiful inside and out, and really enjoyed being able to have some peace and quiet! Brenda had the lights on for us when we arrived and had a nice welcome note to greet us! Thank you so much for having us, we will definitely be back!

Lovely cabin
Our stay was delightful and super easy! The description online matched with what we saw and the location was very central for everything we did during our vacation. The cabin was clean and had plenty of space. Would definitely stay here again!

Fun at the Evergreen!
This was the second trip to the Evergreen for my wife and I for her birthday. The Evergreen is the perfect cabin for us. It’s quiet and secluded. Very clean. Very relaxing. It was the perfect cozy and quiet place for us to come back to after the Bridge Day fun. And the best part was the hot tub on the back deck. It was the best way to relax and look at the trees changing to their beautiful fall colors. We can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I started renting to tourist in 1993, for five years we served breakfast for the cabin occupants as well as the B & B private rooms. Fred worked from home so he could help with all of the tasks involved to be a 5 star property. He was sole proprietor of a consulting company working with material producers and managing delivery of reclamation products to the mining industry. He passed in 2022 and I am managing his company along with renting just the Evergreen. I was a social worker, employment counselor and business owner/manager.
We have two children living in other states, three grandchildren, a grand-dog and cat. Many of our guests have returned over the years, we met some as children who now have children of their own. We view our guests as friends who are visiting this beautiful area, striving to help them have a wonderful experience in Wild Wonderful West Virginia.

Why they chose this property

The Evergreen is located just six miles from the New River Gorge National Park & Preserve, and the New River Gorge Bridge. All reviews are five stars throughout the years due to the care and details we provide to make guests feel at home.
The cabin is clean and comfortable with most everything that you need for the visit. The cabin is private, guests have my cell number and I respond to their questions and concerns, only when consulted. The front porch is perfect for sunrises and the back porch for sunsets.

What makes this property unique

The location is one of the best in the area, being within 12 miles of most activities available, proximity to state and national parks, Summersville Lake, rock climbing areas, mountain biking, whitewater rafting companies, biking, hiking and dining or shopping in the "Cool Small Town" of Fayetteville.
Guests are provided with premium paper products, garbage bags, coffee and filters to start the visit out, free WiFi and firewood for the fireplace and firepit. The property is beautiful, no chemicals has been used on the property for at least 35 years resulting in many animal and bird sightings.
