About this property

Island View Cottages - LIGHTHOUSE

The "Lighthouse Cottage"
A wonderful large cottage on the ocean's edge with panoramic views. Drink your morning coffee watching the sunrise on the expansive oceanfront deck. Spend your days exploring sea life among the rocks, watching the seals and seabirds, walking in the woods, or watching the lobster boats out front. Bring your kayak to launch from our small pebble beach right in front. The clear night sky is filled with stars close enough to touch! Fall asleep listening to the water lap at the shore. Antiquing, fine dining, museums, hiking and golf are just a sample of many ways to spend the day - if you can tear yourself away.

The main level has an open concept kitchen, dining and living room. There is also a full bathroom and laundry area. The cottage has three bedrooms and 1 3/4 bathrooms. The large master bedroom on the main level has a king-sized bed and overlooks the ocean. Upstairs you'll find two more bedrooms, one with a view of the woods with a Queen bed, the other with a CA KIng bed and a wonderful ocean view.
This cottage is fully outfitted, linens, towels, including a dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer, and fireplace. We also provide cable television, and wireless internet access.

Very comfortable waterfront cottage
My husband and I spend a lovely week in the lighthouse cottage. Paul and Patty were very accommodating and made us feel at home. The property is very scenic with a little beach area depending on the tides. We would go back again. Well done Patty and Paul!

Paul and I split our year between South Thomaston, ME and Marietta, GA. Patty grew up in Waterville, ME and Paul is from Andover, MA. Patty's Great Grandfather built a cottage on Owls Head, in the early 20's and it's still family owned. We started summering here in 1997, the year we moved to Marietta. We feel in love with the area, and finally we found the perfect spot for us.
We own 3 rentable cottages. We are in the process of getting plans to redo the Port and Starboard Cottages for our family. We rent out the Lighthouse. The cottages are next to each other, so we are on site owners.

Why they chose this property

Very unique cove, with very little action. Except at high tide with the boat yard is hauling boats in or launching boats from the winter season. Always a changing View.
It's just beautiful. Can't say enough about it.

What makes this property unique

Open living area floor plan, with 3 sets of sliding doors so you won't miss anything going on in front of the cottage.
3 bedrooms,( 1 king, 1 Queen, 1 twin trundle/daybed)
Washer/dryer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, Cable TV, Wifi, phone, and more. Very comfortable and will make you feel like it's your home.
