Nice place, inquisitive cats
You are high up (500m) which meant it was tolerable even when it was 42C in Cordoba. It also means good views. A family of cats hangs hopefully around the door, doing no harm. The pool is a sensible size and attractively placed: internally, the house has some fittings from an old monastery building and is generally characterful (mind your head if you are tall). The local shop is open at slightly odd hours and has a limited stock but that includes decent bread and fresh vegetables. It is at the crossroads opposite Piscina Assuan, a short walk down the road: the walk is not much fun as there is no pavement, but safe enough because traffic is light and the road is wide. The shop is not visible from the road: go into the courtyard where the signs are and look to the right. Cordoba is ten kilometres away down one of two twisty roads (watch out for cyclists), but you are in the country although there are many other houses nearby. To get to the Medina Al-Zahra you can turn left at the shop and then soft right (signposted Eremitas) and follow the mountain road, off which there is also good walking, rather than go into the city and out again. The practicalities are all well organised: some people might miss an oven. One of the bedrooms is in a separate annex, a few steps from the main building.

A apenas 15 minutos del centro de Córdoba, subes las sierra y te encuentras esta maravilla de casa en un entorno envidiable. Amplia, auténtica y con vistas espectaculares. La comunicación y el trato con los dueños ha sido excelente. 100% recomendable. Gracias Domingo por tu hospitalidad y trato. Repetiremos.

Très beau séjour
Accueil très sympathique de Domingo et Juan pour présenter la maison située sur les hauteurs de Cordoue avec une vue exceptionnelle. Nous avons passé 12 jours dans cette maison très agréable et fraîche, calme et entourée d’un beau jardin avec piscine, les propriétaires ont été de bon conseil et très réactifs pour répondre à nos questions , toujours avec beaucoup de chaleur. C’était un point idéal pour rayonner sur toute l’andalousie

Semaine à Cordoue
Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans la propriété en profitant du jardin, de la terrasse, de la piscine et de l’hospitalité de Domingo. Un gâteau à l’arrivée, une corbeille garnie de citron, de l’huile d’olive maison. Très bien situé pour profiter de Cordoue tout en se reposant

Great Spanish experience in Cordoba
We visited with friends and family during the recent heatwave, we were very grateful for the air conditioning which is modern and efficient in all the bedrooms. The villa is traditional Spanish style with thick walls which keep it cool inside during the heat of the day. We were greeted by Juan and his father - the booking process and arrival were very smooth with easy communications via WhatsApp with Juan, they were very friendly and helpful and brought us pie during our stay. As others have commented we couldn’t use the BBQ during summer due to local fire regs, but we ate all our meals outside- using table, chairs and sunshade - fab. We were surprised that there was no oven available but the kitchen was extremely well equipped with so many gadgets, plates, dishes and glasses to use. The villa is rural - situated about 15 minutes up a winding road from Cordoba (watch out for cyclists). There is a supermarket very close-1km but the road is too dangerous to walk and the offerings very limited. Supermarket (15 mins drive) and hyper market in Cordoba are better options. The pool was lovely and very welcome about 5x3 meters, sun chairs available too. The downstairs bedroom was less clean than the others - it is separate and a little ‘musty’. The upstairs bedrooms all share a bathroom but the hot water never ran out with 5 of us using it. There are some external steps between the patio and pool area with no handrail, but outside is well lit at night. Great views across the whole valley. Overall we had a great stay in Cordoba, thank you for sharing with us.
