About Mike iozzi

I'm a outdoorsman who loves to fish I like peace and quiet and time to relax after my hectic days in New York City all the 5 rivers nearby and also go on drift boat trips with the local Guides up there a few times a year the property is very secluded where you can seat in a adirondack chair and drink your coffee and listen to all the birds before you start your day

Mike iozzi purchased this house in 1999

Why Mike iozzi chose Roscoe

You will not find a more sun drenched relaxing place that's close to everything near Roscoe there's nothing like coming back to a warm cabin after a day of exploring all the Catskills have to offer

What makes this house unique

You will not see a neighbor or anybody while at my place. I purchased the whole mountain and had a road cut in and had the house put right in the middle of the property I also had the natural spring turned into a beautiful pond that I stock with rainbow and brown trout so if you don't wanna leave the cabin and still wanna caught trout you can do it on your own oasis

Gorgeous secluded cabin

  • 5 of 5

Its a beautiful cabin very comfortable for up to 6 people. Mike was so kind and helpful before (and during) our stay. He called and explained the directions and prepared us mentally for how secluded/serene/calm the place is. We absolutely needed a 4x4 for some of the roads, which Mike warned us about. We had a 3 yr old stay with us and the pond and the swingset by the cabin were very helpful. You definitely want to get your groceries done prior to climbing the mountain. The rooms were very comfortable. The outdoor space is gorgeous. We enjoyed the grill and the outdoor speakers. Its the perfect getaway for some quiet time and nature loving.

Great getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is an amazing cabin on what seems like your very own mountain. Secluded and beautiful with everything you need especially for our family of four. Play ground with plenty of space to run around, camp fire pit and a small pond to sit by. Plenty of wide open space surrounded by woods and beautiful views. The house is very spacious and kept extremely clean and well maintained. The two bedrooms are very comfortable and a nice size and the loft area is a great space we used a lot playing board games and relaxing. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Mike who couldn't be a nicer guy who showed us around. It really shows how much pride he has in his place by the way he maintains it and speaks about it. We really loved our weekend away from it all and highly recommend it to anyone else looking for the same. Thanks again Mike and hopefully we'll be able to come back in the future for another great trip.

Wonderful Secluded Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful property to stay in. A serene and very private cabin in the woods yet close to town. Kitchen has all the amenities you might need. Beautiful deck to sit back relax or enjoy outdoor speakers while grilling. Mike was very helpful and available with any questions we had. Definitely recommend an all wheel drive vehicle for the road to the cabin.

Mike's cabin is the ideal "cabin in the woods" ....It is a perfect gateway if one is looking to be deep in the woods, in complete privacy, lost in nature, and far from urban chaos .

We had an amazing time!

We were two couples and a toddler and we had plenty of room ! The Cabin is rustic , comfortable and cozy and everything one needs is there.

The fire Pit is a luxury and we spend countless hours near the pond.

Mike is very nice , very communicative , helpful, very easy to deal with and he was reachable at all times.

a couple of things :1/ We opted to park on top of the path leading to the cabin as the drive is quite steep. it is an easy 5 min walk but factor it in your packing !

2/ we had full cell service for all carriers (Verizon. t mob. att)

Do not hesitate renting this little piece of heaven !

Thank you Mike!

Clean, private, everything you need for a great getaway! Can't wait for a return trip!

  • 5 of 5

The property is very well kept and clean. We spent both evenings and nights by the private pond and the fire pit on the property. Mike (the owner) was very helpful before our trip giving us advice and local places to visit/explore. The cabin is very close to Roscoe as well as great fishing nearby. The cabin has everything you need so pack light especially if you do not own an SUV... the access road to the cabin is quite steep and can be a challenge for a front wheel drive to handle. We opted for an option to park at the top of the property and walk down which is a 5 to 10 minute walk so you want to make sure you don't have to carry a lot of gear and make multiple trips. I highly recommend this cabin especially if you're looking for a private and quiet getaway! The owner is very receptive to all your questions and concerns so don't hesitate to contact him. Thanks Mike for letting us enjoy your home away from home!

Roscoe is called trout town USA but it offers many things it has great little stores and restaurants fly shops and antiques there is a golf course 2 miles out of Roscoe and a brewery. It's called trout town beer and they have a great taseting room and they will give a tour on the brewing process. They also have great outdoor activities live music and fun for the whole family. The fly shops will take you down a drift boat and put you on some of the best fly fishing around in the north east Orvis, catskill flies, and the Baxter house are all great tour guides. You can also head to the state game land and hike some of the scenic vistas or head to the pepacton reservoir and fish or just enjoy the other small town doensville.
