About this property

Private cabin located 12 miles out of Cody on Heart Mountain

Our cabin is on Heart Mountain and has a great view of Pat O'Hara Mountain from the comfortable deck. We have a kitchenette which includes a toaster oven, small refrigerator, hot plate and coffee maker. The bathroom has a tub and shower. We can fit a couple very comfortably, we offer a queen bed and an option for an air mattress, which can fit in the bedroom or can be placed out on the deck for a beautiful night under the stars. I do have a twin folding bed that can be used also.
Our property is 104 acres and boarders state land which is beautiful to hike on. The pictures depict a beautiful landscape. If you would like to go for a hike while visiting please contact us so we can give very clear directions on which areas are private land and state access land.
The cabin is on a secluded part of our property. Our house is 1/4 mile away. Our arena is in front of the cabin so there are times we will be using it, whether that be riding our horses or just playing/working with them on the ground. We have groups come out to do work with the horses different times during the week and we frequent the area for maintenance, checking horse, etc. We are happy to answer any questions or give you ideas of activities in Cody or the surrounding areas. We would also like to give you the key in person, if needed we can arrange a drop off. We live 12 miles north of Cody Wyoming. Highway 120 is in view but there are no visible neighbors.
Due to the area, the only cell service is AT&T.
Yellowstone National Park is 65 miles away to the east entrance and northeast entrance. Red Lodge Montana is 50 miles away. The Chief Joseph Scenic Highway starts just 3 miles from our cabin. Lots of options to see some amazing country!
In the summer Cody offers some fun times!! The Cody Night Rodeo, the Buffalo Bill Center Of The West is an amazing museum to visit, wild horses to go take tours through, river rafting, bike riding, horseback riding , I could go on and on!!

Very much as advertised. For my wife and I, it worked out perfect for our short stay. Honestly, we were not there that much as we toured the area, but it was a comfortable bed and cool at night. Very clean and tidy and would highly recommend for a couple who loves the frsh air and beautiful sunsets. Location was great because you are only 15 minutes to Cody and about the same to the Chief Joseph. The rabbits will entertain you as you sit out in the morning with a cup of coffee. It was a great stay. Thank you Jody for your quick responses and detailed directions for a night arrival. M and J

Beautiful, Secluded, Peace on Earth
My husband and I came to Cody, Wyoming for our honeymoon. And this cabin was the perfect place to stay!! It’s was secluded, beautiful and most importantly service free! We got to spend a whole week enjoying our time together and making memories. Highly recommend this cabin if you’re looking to get away from the electronics and life for a few days!

We are a family of 3.
We have horses, 2 dogs and cats.
We like riding horses, rafting and kayaking the Shoshone River, working together, and camping.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property in 2003 and it was a blank slate, just land. We built our house and shop in 2005. Our house is small and most of our relatives live out of state and we would never have room for them. We found a cabin in town that was needing to be moved due to a new property owner and thought that it would be perfect to put on our place as the mother in law cabin. It is about 30 years old and has some imperfections showing its age. We don't always have it full so this is a great option for us.

What makes this property unique

I definitely love the view of our property from all angles. We are blessed to have the pastures for our horses to be in and enjoy the hikes to find them. Just being out in the foothills of Heart Mountain can be the best place on earth.
