Wonderful weekend mountain getaway
We loved this house so much we rented it again. The house was very accommodating for our needs. We needed a house that had a bedroom on the same floor as the kitchen and living area. This house is very comfortable for a large family. We had 8 in our group, with the fire place, pool table and large dining table, this allowed for plenty of entertaining. We really enjoyed our stay.

Tom and I grew up in England, we came to the US in 1983 for what we thought was going to be a 2 year work opportunity but we fell in love with San Diego and decided to make this area our home. We have lived in the US longer than we lived in England and both our kids were born and raised here. We discovered Julian in the early 90s when we lived in Escondido and Tom decided he wanted to build custom homes in the area so we moved here in 1999.

Why they chose this property

We moved into this beautiful Julian ranch property in 2003 as we wanted more open space, and the farmhouse with its old world charm and mid 20th century roots held a special place in our hearts as the original family homestead where our children could grow up.
We have since built another house on the property which we now live in and we saw a unique opportunity to share this beautiful property and all that it offers with others wanting to get away from it all.

What makes this property unique

This property with its 55 acres of space is a place where you can definitely unwind and leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind , its location in the foothills of Volcan Mountain Preserve ensures you will have all the peace and quiet you desire and not be overlooked.
The property has a history, there was a goldmine built into the mountain but we've not been able to discover if any gold was found here, although for safety purposes the mine workings are no longer open.
However there are many natural springs and we are using these springs today so the water is the purest you'll ever taste. If you like hiking and being outdoors this property offers hours of interesting walks through meadows, forests and creeks and of course never ending views.
