Why Gary and Marcella Stachurski chose Sequim

Our love for the Olympic Peninsula brought us to Sequim in 2005 and we wanted to share staying on our farm with others. We enjoy visiting with all of our guests. We aim to please, just ask!

What makes this house unique

Our vacation rental is a home away from home that is situated in the southwest corner of Cedarbrook Lavender Farm and has a beautiful northeastern view of Mt. Baker and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. No need to drive to a lavender farm if you stay with us you're there, just a stroll on the connecting pathway to the farm.

Cozy Retreat

  • 4 of 5

This charming apartment has lots of extras to make you enjoy your stay and want to return! This was actually a return stay for me. I first stayed here with my daughter and granddaughter a couple years ago. When my husband and I were recently planning a trip to Sequim I told him that this is where I wanted to stay and that he wouldn’t be disappointed, and he wasn’t! The view is amazing. The farmhouse/cottage style decor is charming and cozy and although the sofa is small, it is OH SO comfortable! Not only is there a mini lavender store setup that you can purchase from, but there are products you can use during your stay which was a special treat! With a fully equipped kitchen you have everything you need including access to the herb garden. We even noticed a parking pass to the Macaw Indian Reservation for our use but we didn’t have time to use it. We definitely will be back!

Relaxing and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I stayed at this lovely vacation home in May. It is very peaceful. We saw deer, many birds and a coyote. It is up on a hill so you have a great veiw of the valley and the hosts are real nice and have a lovely lavender farm.

We plan to go again in the future.

Sweet Retreat

  • 5 of 5

I rented this wonderful cottage for the month of April and it was perfect ! ! !

The view is fabulous with Mt Baker, the Juan de Fuca Straits, and the San Juan Islands. What a joy to wake up and be on the deck to see it all. Gary and Marcella have made this VRBO a place I started to call home soon after I arrived. It was warm and cozy on the chilly, cloudy days and always bright with the sliding glass doors to the deck and windows around the back. Yet it was private in the bedrooms. I traveled to Seattle to pick up my sister from Connecticut who stayed with me the last week. She also adored the cottage. I wish I could have stayed longer. Everything I needed was supplied in the home. The lavender products from the Cedarbrook Lavender Shop were a treat to sample. I hope I can return soon to this very special home.

Charming seaview cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time exploring Sequim for a long weekend and enjoyed this cute and comfortable cottage, located at the end of the cul-de-sac of an established neighborhood of high quality, view homes! Very clean, cute decor and well insulated, this cottage overlooks Nourish Sequim restaurant and the historic Bell House with wonderful views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Mt. Baker. Really stunning! The covered deck is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the views, whatever the weather, even with Highway 101 nearby. The city of Sequim is just across the highway. The location of the cottage makes getting everywhere very easy! Deer often meander through the farm below, morning and evening. We would have loved to visit with the owners to hear about their lavender farm and learn more about Sequim through their many years of living here, but never saw them. We enjoyed reading through the two guest books and discovering a little more history of the rental cottage; people's experiences who had stayed there. Delightful! Very easy check in/check out instructions. We would stay here again.

First time visiting Sequim? We highly recommend going to the Sequim Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Center! The people there are so knowledgeable about the area, very friendly and have multiple maps and lots of information to share; making exploration of the area even better. We also highly recommend a visit to Suzon's Coffee Lounge (eclectic) for a delicious cup of coffee plus her homemade whip creme and Spanish chocolate, used in her drinks, is WOW!!! Port Williams was our favorite beach location to visit! Beach walk either direction is stunning! A tip at the Visitor's Center enabled us to find the Sequim elk herd too! We had an absolutely wonderful weekend in Sequim!!!
