1,088 Sq. Ft. One Level Condo Features 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths With Mountain Views

Our property is a turret (made you look it up!) and is the largest unit in Canmore's popular Falcon Crest Lodge and offers stunning mountain views.

Oversized master bathroom with rainfall shower adjoins a spacious master bedroom with unencumbered views to the South, East and of course, West, to the Rocky Mountains.

Second bedroom has a queen sized bed and views to the West and North. Additional bathroom, bathtub and rainfall shower off the main living area. Large foyer and closet for all your mountain gear.

A pull out couch is available in the living room. (If it is used, then an extra guest charge is levied even if only 4 guests are in the unit.)

Open concept kitchen has its own seating in addition to a separate dining area and 270 degree windows in the living room (where the couch folds out to a bed for extra guests or children).

While the town has much to offer, staying in for the evening is also an attractive option. Enjoy grocery shopping in Canmore and finding locally made food and then cooking and sharing a meal in the well-equipped kitchen (we've cooked everything from simple meals to elaborate holiday Turduckens and Wellingtons).

The natural gas BBQ on the patio and high table and chairs beckon you to linger outside. We don't just have sunsets, we have alpenglow. If you are lucky enough to visit us for New Year's or Canada Day, you can watch the town's fireworks (early for the children and again later for the adults) from the balcony.

There are 2 outdoor hot tubs on site and our unit looks down upon the relaxing one in the trees. Come back to the room and cosy up in the living room or dining area and let the gas fireplace enhance the warmth from your day.

While visiting the Rocky Mountains you won't have time for this, but there are 3 televisions in the unit as well as high-speed internet.

Restaurant in the lobby and terrific cafe in the adjacent building. Monday - Saturday, drive the 4 minutes and go to Valbella Deli to pick up high end ingredients (at local's prices) to have the most memorable meal of your stay inside the condo.

Heated underground parking and 2 elevators.

Laundry available (coin operated) and ice machine on the second floor and vending machine is on the third floor.

The property looks down upon the town's walking/bike pathways and will take you wherever you want to go in minutes.

The bus stop is outside our building. If wanting to take the bus to Banff, the stop is 3 blocks away.

Take a stroll downtown to The Pond and join in a game of shinny or grab a hot drink first and watch the puck drop from the Gazebo. The sound of skating and a puck on the ice is iconic.

I've watched the world go by with my husband, young son, and parents for over 10 years at this location and my child knows it as his second home. We are looking forward to inviting you to create your own memories here. You'll always remember the view, the fresh air and the comfort.

About Alison Thompson & Family

When I was a little girl growing up near Toronto, my parents brought me to Banff National Park. The memories of a pony ride at Lake Louise and a visit to the Columbia Icefields Glaciers still make me smile as I drive by these attractions (or do them with my own family!).

In my parent's retirement years, we had the opportunity to jointly purchase this property (we are original owners) and rekindle our love of the West. I even had my son in the Canmore hospital so his birth certificate would forever more connect us all to this place.

I'm an influencer in the renewable energy industry and spending time in the mountain wilderness helps keep me grounded in why I do the work that I do.

Beautiful location

Owner's Response: We love the Canmore trail system too. Right in front of the property it takes you where you want to go by walking or biking. To go further afield, the ROAM bus stop is also next to the property. Takes you all the way to Banff and around Canmore. Worth taking it just to see the sights and talk to the bus driver about local news and highlights!

Very well maintained, functional unit.

Two couples shared the apartment. Cooked gourmet meals, walked into town several times. The beds were somfortable, showers were excellent and the kitchen small but functional. Views are fantastic. Only draw back is it faces a busy street. We used our sound machine and slept fine.

Perfect place in a perfect setting.

My college age granddaughter and I just returned from a week in the Banff area. We stayed in the Thompson's condo and were very satisfied with the accommodations. The location was perfect, the condo included everything that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. (i.e. comfortable beds, great showers!, and comfortable living spaces.) The people at the resort were also very friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the area. We will definitely stay here again when we come back and we will definitely come back again!

Clean, spacious, great location and view

Our stay was only a few days but it was very enjoyable, we loved this place. Stayed in others but this has been the best by far. Lots of space for our family of four to move around. Lots of places to sit and relax. Bathrooms are real nice, large bathtubs, fantastic showers, even the towels are soft. Fireplace was warm to sit around in the evening and dried our ski clothes no problem. Beds were large and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Indoor parking was tight, but that's because other visitors didn't always park well. Definitely staying here for our next trip back and would highly recommend to anyone, especially family and friends.

Owner's Response: I have to chuckle at the fireplace drying comment. That's so much a part of an active outdoor family's nightly ritual, us included! In the summertime, we use the balcony sun to lay out clothes and boots after long hikes. If you think the place is spacious in the winter, its moreso in the summer as well when all the windows are flung open and you can use the balcony as an extra kitchen and sun-downer drink location. Great 2 bedroom 2 bath in Canmore

We loved the building that the unit is in. 2 large bedrooms and a huge master bathroom. I think that the best surprise feature (which I hadn't considered before booking) was the underground parking. It was so nice to come back to the Falcon Crest and be able to park underground in the warm parking garage. Believe me, in the morning when it was 10 degrees F below zero, being able to hop in the warm car and head on out to the slopes was a treat.

The owner, Alison, was super friendly and checked in several times with us during the stay to make sure that everything was satisfactory. She even bought popcorn treats that were waiting for my boys when we arrived.

All in all, a really nice unit to rent in the town of Canmore.

Owner's Response: Thanks James, I love speaking with guests and sharing my love of the area! I know what you mean about the underground parking. One of the conveniences is to drive into the parkade, grab a luggage cart and bring up belongings and groceries in the elevator. (My son likes to ride on the luggage cart too.) Not sure if anyone has used the complimentary car wash in the garage, but that's available as well to rinse off slush, ice, and dust, as well as clean your windshields...all from the comfort of the parkade instead of a chilly and wet Car Wash drive-through.

Views and location

The large condo has beautiful views and is well furnished. Great beds and bathrooms! Canmore is fairly close to Lake Louise (1 hour) but much closer to Banff. Easy access to highways. Both towns have plenty of dining options (make reservations) and grocery stores. Condo's kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, etc. Try the Valbella Gourmet Foods meat market and use the condo's gas grill. Suggested activities: Lake Moraine, Lake Louise, Banff Gondola and Hot Springs, Marble Canyon (Kootenay Natl Park), Columbia icefields, and Maligne Canyon (near Jasper). Enjoyed our stay!

Canmore is connected to Banff National Park via a paved bike path, backcountry bike and ski trails, hiking trails and highway.

The Canmore Nordic Centre is located up the hill from the town site.

Our favourite thing to do in Banff is visit the hot springs.

Canada celebrates its 150th birthday in 2017 and entrance to all national parks is free. From our property, visit Banff, Kootenay, Jasper and Yoho national parks as day trips.

Kananaskis Country (a provincial park) is also adjacent to Canmore.

Additional information about rental rates

Refundable Damage Deposit C$500

Rates are based on the bedrooms being used, not the pull out couch. If the pull out couch is used (even if there are only 4 or less guests in the condo), then an additional cleaning fee will be charged. This fee is equal to the additional guest charge which is $60/night and will be taken out of the damage deposit you provide when booking. If more than 4 guests are booked in the unit, then the additional cleaning fee is already being charged to you.

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
