very nice and updated cottage
We were very impressed with the cottage on peaks island. It was a short walk to smaller beach but a bit of a hike to larger beach but no problem to use our car. The rooms, beds, and amenities were all top notch. My wife and I enjoyed the master bedroom and bathroom with double shower heads. The kitchen was very nice and enjoyed the taller counters for the week. We were able to cook some great food while on the island with everything they supplied. Great stay for us overall.

Great Memorial Day Weekend on Peaks Island
Lovely house just about 7 minutes walking from the ferry and town. The house has a nice, big lawn with comfortable chairs for relaxing in the sun. There is also a picnic table to enjoy a nice lunch outside in the shade of a large tree. Also on the property is a children's playground with swings and a slide which was nice for a my day visitor and his one year old son. The inside of the house is great. The kitchen is spacious with modern appliances. The island counter top is equip with everything needed to become a ping pong table, which we did! The bed was comfortable and the house comes with large fans to keep things cool. We also enjoyed using the charcoal grill outside for lunch before heading down the street for some seafood and drinks. Although we didn't need anything our lovely hosts were attentive and sent us detailed information about the island and the house prior to arrival as well as messaged us to let us know they were available while we were there. Great place, great stay, 7 minute walk to the town, and the ferry.

Lovely home!
The pictures did not do the property justice; so comfortable and relaxing! Very well stocked with everything we needed to make dinner and to entertain ourselves. The owners were very attentive and accommodating. Great stay for our family!

Spacious and clean with a few quirks
Over all a very nice place to stay, and the owners were very pleasant. We would definitely stay there again. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that it had a few quirks; most of which could easily be corrected. The outside of the house was not very attractive, but it had a wonderful large grassy yard and play-set for the children. The inside looked like it had been recently renovated, and was very clean and comfortable. It had a wide open floor plan and large round dining table that was great when some friends stopped by to visit. We had fun playing ping-pong on the huge counter/bar in the kitchen, and the kids were thrilled with the toy bins in the basement room. Since the house is old, there were a few quirky things to note. None of the bathroom or bedroom doors had locks, so privacy could have been better, and the metal fire door from the mud room was difficult to open/close. The door knob to the master bath felt like it would fall off in my hand. The hot water heater was a little undersized for our family, so showers required a little planning. The kitchen silverware had only small and extra large spoons, so a set of medium spoons would have been nice. By far, the most annoying thing we encountered was the smoke alarm in the master bedroom which would go off after every shower, and was not easily silenced. However, every house has a few negatives and the positives far outweighed them. We would definitely recommend this as a place to consider for your stay on Peaks Island.
