2023, 1st Battalion 8th Marine Reunion
The property was "Absolutely Amazing" and easily accommodated all 18 that attended our 2023 USMC reunion this year. The house was so impressive that two of the guys attending drove around the camping trailer park below because they didn't think our group would be staying in such a beautiful place. I spoke on the phone with the hostess Angela who was so gracious. During our conversation, she informed me that the rodeo was in town and tickets were still available if our group would be interested, and per her recommendation we attended and had a great time. Text messages from all the guys after leaving the house all mentioned how beautiful the house, and its location, were. Sleeping accommodations and amenities were absolutely spectacular for everyone of us. "Thank You Angela", for the many wonderful memories you've afforded our USMC, 1st Battalion 8th Marine Reunion Group this year. For 3 of the Marines attending this year, it was the first time in 37 years since they'd seen anyone from our old platoon. And because we attended the Rodeo event upon your suggestion, we now have two guys returning home that can forever say "This isn't my first Rodeo"!! LOL I'd highly recommend this location for anyone looking to have a special and memorable vacation or gathering.

Great Place
This place had beautiful views and plenty of space to spread out. I even did a live event via Zoom as there was high-speed fiber internet. The rooms were comfortable, and everything was pretty much in order. The times I did need to contact someone, the response was pretty quick.

We are natives of Southern Utah, and we love our hometown, sunny St. George. We decided to convert our parents' home into a VRBO Vacation Home in an effort to preserve the treasured memories we have had in the home instead of selling it. This would allow us to visit the home when it wasn’t being rented and to continue to use it for family gatherings like we have done in the past, too. We are excited to share our parents’ elegant home with other families so they can also gather together, too, and create special memories that never die.

Why they chose this property

The Red Hill Grand Retreat is nestled under the rugged St. George Dixie Red Hill Cliffs overlooking all of St. George. This light-filled home is beautifully landscaped with over 30 palm trees surrounding the home, driveway, backyard living, and deck areas. It is elegantly decorated and is timeless in its design. There is a magnificent view from every window in the home, whether it is a view of the city or the majestic red hill which stands so stately as its background. This view does not go down with the sun. It comes alive again when the city lights come on at night.

What makes this property unique

It has often been said that “Location is everything," but we are about to change that old saying to "Location and Views are everything!" because the Red Hill Grand Retreat is located in the heart of St. George and positioned on a hill where the views of the city are magnificent during the day and magical at night. Because of its location, you are within walking distance to Morty's, RocTaco, Sakura Japanese Restaurant, McDonald's, KFC, Taco Bell, Iceberg, Neilson’s Frozen Custard, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, Frost-top Drive-In, Wendy's, and Ocean Buffet. You are less than 1 mile from the entire Downtown Historic District, Ancestor Square, Cappelletti’s, George’s Corner, Benja’s Thai Restaurant, Pizza Factory, Pasta Factory, Painted Pony, LDS Temple, and Tabernacle, St. George Art Gallery, Children’s Museum, Townsquare Park and Splash-Pad, Judd’s, Bear Paw Café, Opera House, Brigham Young Home, Police Station, Utah Tech University, Dixie Sun Bowl, and Vernon-Worthen City Park, where the St. George Marathon ends. You are also less than three miles from Dixie Regional Medical Center and the Dixie Center.

The home is close to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Snow Canyon State Park, Tuacahn Amphitheater, Pine Valley - Dixie National Forest, Dixie State University, and over 12 beautiful golf courses. It is only 15 minutes from Sand Hollow Reservoir and Quail Lake Reservoir for amazing water sports with plenty of fishing and hiking in all directions. It is conveniently located only 120 miles from Las Vegas for a fun night out in Las Vegas and a quick trip back to the home base. This home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, family reunions, families, and multi-families with kids.
