Welcome to your relaxing Tahoe getaway nestled in the heart of the charming Tahoe Donner community. Here, a quaint gambrel-style home awaits you, comfortably sleeping four guests.

Radiating simplicity and character, energy-efficient one-year old stainless steel appliances equip the home, and tasteful custom woodwork adorns its interior, all together creating a cozy environment perfect for relaxation and unwinding.

As you step onto the property and look through the home’s back wall of glass, you’ll savor a pine-studded view with a deck that includes a teak dining table, two new red Adirondack chairs and side table and a gas BBQ. Or, slip into the warm embrace of the hot tub out on the deck as you gaze up at the clear mountain sky.

Inside, the home boasts a fusion of modern vibrancy and rustic charm. A gas fireplace wraps you in its warmth, creating an idyllic setting for tranquil evenings. A Smart TV equipped with Apple TV and bluetooth soundbar stands ready for family movie nights, adding a touch of modern convenience to your getaway. Sharing the space with the living area, a wooden dining table seats six, leading the way to a well-appointed kitchen thoughtfully designed for your culinary exploits. Here, appliances stand poised for action, catering to your every culinary whim while also emphasizing the home's commitment to sustainability.

The main floor also houses a soothing sanctuary - a queen-sized bed, dresser, and closet is found in the bedroom on the right as you enter the front door. A full bath is directly on the left when entering the cabin. The garage also features a laundry area, ensuring a seamless and comfortable stay.

Venture upstairs to discover a charming reading nook and desk with iMac for guests that peers down onto the living space, an ideal spot for losing yourself in a book or a checking email with excellent wifi. Nearby, the second bedroom with an en suite half bath extends a warm welcome with another queen bed, light linens, and colorful accents, perfectly reflecting the welcoming aesthetic of this charming home. In this larger upstairs bedroom, you will sleep comfortably and peacefully with blackout curtains and carpeted floors upstairs to greet your toes in the morning!

Tahoe Donner is one of America's largest homeowner's associations, with over 6,500 properties nestled amongst the pine trees, spanning over 7,000 acres with lots of hiking and biking trails. Enjoy the splendor of Tahoe Donner, where pristine natural beauty reigns supreme, with its tall pine trees, glistening Donner Lake-just 10 minutes away,, and majestic peaks, offering an endless playground for outdoor enthusiasts.

​​In the winter, Tahoe Donner transforms into a wonderland, enchanting visitors with an onsite family-friendly ski resort that has excellent lessons and a snow play area where young adventurers can happily slide down the hillside. In the summer, take advantage of the championship golf course and clubhouse, pizza on the hill, Alder Creek Clubhouse, or bring the family to one of two the private swimming pool complexes, Trout Creek being the main complex with 3 hot tubs, a steam room and sauna. Don't miss the chance to visit the private Donner Lake beach club, accessible for a nominal fee with guest cards on the property, where you can rent stand up paddleboards, pedal boats, and kayaks or simply luxuriate on provided beach chaise lounges.

For top-notch dining experiences, look no further than The Lodge Restaurant & Pub, a renowned neighborhood bistro and bar that has garnered numerous accolades. Offering breathtaking views and an abundance of outdoor seating, this establishment is an ideal gathering spot for family and friends. For last-minute grocery essentials, Z Marketplace has a curated selection of wine and spirits, a delectable deli selection, and a daily BBQ. Additional dining options include: Pizza on the Hill, Alder Creek Cafe & Bar, Marco Polo Grill, and Ski Grill + Bar.

For regular visitors and long term residents, Tahoe Donner provides a distinct advantage over other North Shore Tahoe locations, significantly reducing the travel time from the Bay Area by approximately 45 minutes. While others find themselves in traffic, you can settle in to the comfort of this mountain retreat. Tahoe Donner lies within a few minutes of Historic Downtown Truckee, 12 miles from Northstar California, and 16 miles from the renowned Palisades Tahoe ski resort.

Included with your rental are two guest cards providing access to the amenities available in Tahoe Donner (ages 7 and up, a $17 daily fee). Each guest card allows access for up to four guests over the age of 6. Daily fee for rental guest per person per day, paid upon entry. A single daily fee gains you access to the Trout Creek Gym, private beach club, and pools. Children under 7 are free.

In addition to the snow removal service, we have a team that will come to the property and shovel the snow from the walkway and the deck. In storms, this team prioritizes walkways at each home and returns for deck snow removal, if there is not a large storm and they are available. They will arrive when there is more than 4 inches of snow, roads permitting. We also provide shovels for the guests to use. DO NOT attempt to use the snowblower, this is for the owners only.

Our cleaning team is a wonderful partner to us at Glacier View Getaway. The company is a woman-owned local family business with insurance in Truckee. We depend on their reliability to ensure your rental is ready and sanitized. We also employ a separate company that specializes in hot tub sanitation to come out between every guest visit. Our cleaning fee is a direct pass through to our wonderful woman-owned cleaning team.

Note: Front entry and walkway of the cabin and garage are monitored by a security camera, placed out front (only) of the rental property which can be turned off at guest request.

POLICIES & DISCLOSURES:
1. Maximum daytime and nighttime occupancy is 4 adults.
2. Parking for 2 vehicles, access to one side of the garage for one vehicle is available. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
