Enjoy beautiful mountain and valley views from every room of this private treehouse located minutes from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Forest, Brevard, and Hendersonville. Hiking and biking, as well as kayaking and canoeing opportunities abound. After a day of hiking in the forest(s), trout fishing or tubing on the Davidson River, tooling around downtown Brevard or downtown Hendersonville, come home to relax in your own private retreat. Winter stays will allow you to enjoy the cozy wood-burning stove (with all supplies onsite and ready for you), while Spring and Summer offer opportunity to open the windows and listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy the refreshing, cool mountain breezes. In the Fall, you'll be nestled among the vibrant color of the changing leaves. Regardless of the time of year, you'll want to be sure to catch the sunset over the mountains!
Awake the next morning to views of the mountains from the expansive windows in the master bedroom or sleep in with black-out shades on the snuggly, comfortable queen-sized bed with luxurious linens. Enjoy breakfast on the porch in your pjs. Or take a brisk morning walk along the mountain on the gravel road.
The second bedroom is perfect for kids, if you decide to bring them with you. A brand new lounging futon gives opportunity for reading, playing games, or bird-watching, or extends to a full-sized bed for sleeping. A desk also allows for the quick check of emails or time spent writing about the adventures of your stay. The second bedroom is nestled between the master bedroom and the main living area, with a pocket door on either side to allow for privacy, though Mom and Dad will have to walk through the 2nd bedroom to return to the main living area of the house.
The bathroom is recently renovated with white, subway tile around the tub and lavatory, and fresh, new fixtures and linens.
A cozy kitchen is stocked with the essentials you need for meals in the home, if you choose to bring food with you, though you may also enjoy trying one of the unique restaurants Brevard or Hendersonville has to offer. Some of our favorites are Mayberry's and Blue Ridge Bakery on Main Street for lunch, and Marco's Pizza (also on Main Street) for dinner in Brevard. If you want to go to downtown Hendersonville, you must take in the long-standing local favorite Hotdog World or newcomer Hen-Dough (chicken and doughnuts!) for lunch. West First for wood-fired pizza and Never Blue for eclectic tapas fare are among our favorites for dinner on Main Street.
Come relax and rejuvenate in our little retreat on the mountain. We look forward to your stay.
