About this property

If Fishing, Hunting or just wanting to relax is your "thing", this is the place.

Lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bath vacation house located close to Lake Russell in northeast Elbert County, GA. Includes 3 twin beds in one bedroom and 1 queen size bed in the other. THIS NOT A PARTY DESTINATION. Only registered guest allowed on property. No outside speakers allowed. Fully furnished with wifi and tv. Plenty of parking for boats and vehicles. Ideal for fishermen and hunters. Great location on Lake Russell with 5 boat docks within 3 miles that serve Lake Russell and Clarks Hill (Strom Thurmond). Property is NOT directly on lake as there are NO homes allowed on Corp of Engineers property.

Lake Russell is approximately 26,500 acres in size with 540 miles of shoreline and is one of the few lakes in the Southeast that remains undeveloped, pristine and naturally picturesque. The area provides a wide variety of recreational activities including water sports, boating, hunting, fishing and hiking. Largemouth base and Striper fishing on Lake Russell is so popular that numerous fishing tournaments are held throughout the year. We have 2 very old loveable dogs that greet our guest.

Very Merry Christmas
We came up from Texas for a relaxing Christmas, and that is exactly what we got. We went mining in Abbeville SC, ventured to Helen GA and all around Elberton. Connie and Robert are the best hosts. They make you feel like family. Homey was the sweetest dog and so sweet to my little dogs. I would recommend this little house to anyone looking for that home away from home kind of place. Thank you both for such a special time.

About the host

Hosted by Roger and Connie Fredrickson

Host profile image
Roger is a retired disabled veteran who just loves a project. The house was one of those "Projects". I have to admit he did a really good job. Connie is retired and loves to fish and bird watch.

Why they chose this property

We lived in hectic Florida for years. We wanted peace and quiet and to be able to go fishing. A few years after our initial purchase we bought 3 more acres from our neighbor. The acreage had a little man cave that sat way off the road. As husbands will do, he wanted a project. So, after one full year he turned that ugly old man cave into a beautiful 2 br 1 bath guest house. We recently added another rental on the property named "This Boat Don't Float". A 50 Foot Houseboat that sleeps 3.
