About this property

Historic Zunick Triplex

NOTE: Discounts for 30 day or more stay.

The Historic Zunick Triplex is located 3 blocks from downtown Prescott. The triplex was built in 1938 and was the first purpose built triplex in Prescott. It was built by a man named Frank Zunick who used the recycled lumber from an old 1800s boarding house that was in Humbolt, Arizona. After the mines closed, some of the old buildings that had been used for the mining industry were sold off at a bargain and lumber was used to build new structures in various locations in and around the Prescott area.
This apartment is a one bedroom one bath unit for one to two adults. It has been completely remodeled and had all new furniture, new stainless steel appliances including stove with convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a refrigerator with an ice maker. There is a king sized bed in the bedroom with a dresser, a 32 inch TV.

The living room features a 52 inch smart TV including WIFI, a large comfortable couch, and a recliner, a desk, and a cozy electric fireplace.
The spacious bathroom includes a large luxurious shower, and the vanity has a granite counter top with a vessel sink.
This unit also has a separate dining room right off of the kitchen.
There is alley access with off street parking for a mid size vehicle.
This parking area is located for easy access and proximity to the unit.
This vacation rental is close to shopping and many entertainment venues in downtown Prescott and the surrounding area. It is also close to the Yavapai Regional Hospital, grocery stores, and the airport.

Security cameras outside.
Small pets 50 lbs or less well behaved and house broken. Pet fee refundable as long as no damage to rental.

Best in Prescott, AZ
It's a delightful place with southewest decor in the unit and lovely landscaping.! The more you look around the more fun things to see. The downtown area is just a short walk away where you'll find shops and restaurants galore. The owners are very talented people and always willing to chat and help in anyway they can. We go every summer and will continue to do so.

The Best in Prescott
This is a gem of a place! The unit is wonderfully decorated that you will love with a southwest theme . And the property is a wonder to behold full of all kinds of handmade metal works made by the owner and plants and gardens and a delightful little pond. The hosts are charming and helpful and everything is within walking distance. You couldn't ask for more.! .

Ron and Kris Kinner,
Kris and I purchased this historic property in 2013. We are both retired, Kris from 35 years of teaching special ed, and me from 32 years with Farm Credit in Yuma, Arizona. After I retired in June of 2014. We decided to move to Prescott, where Kris was born, and live on this beautiful historic property. Much work was to be done to turn it into what it is today. After Several years of determination and hard work we live in what we call a little slice of heaven and are excited to share it with our guests.
I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in agronomy an Kris has her masters degree from Prescott College in psychology. We both are very artistic and that shows up in our home and the vacation rentals.

Why they chose this property

Kris was born in Prescott and we both love the area. It was logical for us to move here after we retired. We had looked for something to purchase for several years and had just about given up because down town area property was either very expensive or the place needed to be torn down and rebuilt. As we were leaving town, we drove down pleasant street and saw 'this property for sale by owner. That was Thursday and by the next friday we owned the property. The rest is history. About four years later and many many days and months of hard work, it is what it is today. For us and our guests to enjoy!
