This is a cozy woodland home adjacent to the national forest. It is the perfect setting for family or group and is packed with all the amenities! This house is the perfect base camp from which to explore Olympic National Park and the Ocean Straits and is located just 10 minutes from Port Angeles and the Victoria, BC Ferry. Enjoy an indoor fireplace with a fully stocked kitchen along with a cozy outside fire-pit and propane BBQ grill. The house has 4 bedrooms (1 King bed, 3 queen beds, 1 queen futon, 2 single beds & 2 single cots.) and a dining room table large enough for 10 people. You can look out of the house and see the beauty of the trees around this woodland property from your private patio and yard that are perfect for morning coffee or evening lounging after you return from the great outdoors! There are walking trails on the property to the river below, and we are situated in the middle of the national park with the ocean straits and town of Port Angeles (and the Victoria, Canada ferry) just 6 miles away.

The house belongs to and is situated next to our RV park and campground. Because you are in our campground you also have access to all our amenities: a vegetable garden, outdoor games, volleyball, basketball, gift and snack store, complimentary movies and more.

Spring usually lasts from March - June and the snow begins to melt and the plants begin to flower. Average highs temps range from 51-65 degrees F. Summer is July, August and September when the snow on the mountains is gone and the area is vibrant with greenery and sunny days. This is the driest season when the lavender farms are in bloom and the average high temperature is 66-69 degrees. October is the main month for autumn when the leaves change into stunning yellows and reds and the air becomes crisp and cool with high temps around 57 and the first couple freezing days make their appearance along with a popular Crab Festival. November - February brings winter weather with a high temperature range of 46-50 and overnight lows consistently in the 30's. The area averages 36 inches of rain a year and 3 inches of snow.

Whatever season you choose, this large house is the perfect gateway to the Wonderment of the Olympic Peninsula with friendly, involved hosts happy to help you plan your time and advise you on all the area has to offer. Wonderful family time
We really enjoyed our family time in this comfortable house. Plenty of room for the 9 of us. Well supplied large kitchen for cooking together. The RV park adjacent is quiet and the kids liked the outdoor spaces and visiting the horses. The staff were friendly and helpful. We're glad we found this place.

Great Home Base for Olympic National Park!
We stayed at this property to spend time with family and hike in national park. Good stuff: Pellet grill not gas which was good and we were provided more pellets Beds were all pretty comfy Kitchen worked well Fire pit was a nice touch Big yard area just outside for kids to play in RV park has more places to play Not great stuff: Wi-Fi worked but seemed slow and we had some connection issues. Not intolerable but somewhat annoying. No dishwasher but that was known in advance. All in all it was really a great spot and well worth the price.

Great Location
Rustic but clean. Well stocked kitchen though no dishwasher. Located next to a large RV Park but it is very quiet. Owners and office staff were very helpful recommending day trips. Located about 15 min. west of Port Angeles and very close to Olympic attractions like Madison Falls and Sol Duc. Downstairs king and queen beds very comfortable. Upstairs beds a bit soft and not as comfy for adults. Great location for visiting Olympic. And stop at nearby Grannys west on 101 for excellent take-out foods.

David and Chris manage this property and campground resort with their family who are caring people and eager to serve. They say it still feels like yesterday when they searched over a year to find the perfect property. "It was hard to find a place that has the best of all worlds, but here at the Elwha it seems we do: It has a peaceful healing vibe, with majesty all around. Mountain peaks stand in the distance and the splendor of the forest, lakes, waterfalls, Strait of Juan De Fuca and ocean are mere minutes away. A Victoria, BC international experience is just a boat ride away and all around you is a community of service that suits a family's needs. Port Angeles truly is a unique place."
