Great Find!
Jarvi Homestay was a great find! Great base location for day trips in the Anchorage area. . Mary and Dan were extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great tips for our day trips and restaurants. Was even able to get us some discounts! Breakfast was very fresh and creative. Would highly recommend Jarvi Homestay!

We were treated like royalty!! Mary & Dan are wonderful! Comfortable beds, great food & hospitality.
My husband, grandson and I had the wonderful opportunity to stay at Jarvi Homestay in July 2018. Mary and Dan are wonderful people and very knowledgeable of local resources and contacts. They are exemplary hosts. We enjoyed very comfortable and clean accommodations. Our daily breakfast was amazing, a 5 star restaurant couldn’t have prepared a better meal. Mary and Dan gave us our privacy but were ready and willing to share information on what to do and see in Alaska. I highly recommend Jarvi Homestay! You won’t be dissapointed!!

B and B
Dan and Mary were very attentive and kind. They were there for us and answered any questions we might have. The place was well supplied, and the beds were very comfortable. If you stay here, you might want to be aware of the following, though. You are not to wear shoes in the house. The couple has a dog, and if you have allergies or fears, you need to be aware of that. The rental is the lower level of a bilevel house and the stairway is open to the upper level. Because of that, as renters, you can hear conversation going on upstairs, and probably the reverse is true as well. Finally, the lower level felt a bit damp; a dehumidifier would solve that problem, I think.

Why they chose this property

You have the right mix of privacy and friendliness - we can provide recommendations on restaurants, things to do, and can direct you to the real Alaska experience!

What makes this property unique

Quiet. Calm. If you are a dog lover, you will enjoy the opportunity to meet our pup (and we know some travelers see this as a bonus!) We expect you will be out and about, secure in the knowledge that your belongings are in your room rather than in your vehicle.
