St. Pete Beach is great. The condo itself would have been fine most likely had I been going by my self as just a bachelor get away. First, the good - The price is certainly right and the booking and communication with the owners was easy and seemless just the way I like it. The location right across the street from the beach park. You can look out your window and see the beach. St. Pete Beach is gorgeous and from the condo you can walk to a number of restaurants and places. There's even a beach snack shack about 150 yards from the condo on the beach. The condo is also nicely decorated and has a comfortable pull out bed. Seems like an oxymoron but it actually was comfortable.
The not so good. - This condo was MUCH smaller than we thought it was. My wife, myself and our teenage son were touching feet sleeping in two pull out beds in this studio apartment. They do a good job with the pictures making it look bigger than it is. The "balcony" can literally only hold one person. Dining only seats 2.I didn't notice it was a studio and not a one bedroom. The pictures make it look like a one bedroom but it never says that so don't make the mistake I did.
Also, I mentioned it is right across the street from the Beach park. It is a public park with public restrooms which are about 75 yards from the condo. The particular week we were staying they were doing construction on those. So at 7:00 a.m. every morning, construction began right outside our window. Not fun.
Also, they've done a decent job of keeping up the condo complex but the complex and the condo itself is pretty old. Hard to say but probably built in the late 60's.
Lastly and after this my wife made us move so I had to pay for two condos the last few nights, there was a rat in the laundry room area that ran across my wife's feet. At that point we were tired from waking up early every morning from banging construction and touching feet with our teenage soon while we tried to sleep in this tiny room so my wife had completely had it. I sent a message to the owner and was a little disappointed in the response. No offer to take a night off our 8 night stay just said they would notify the maintenance people about the rat. We moved to a much bigger, nicer, non-rat, non-construction area for our last few nights.
All and all you take the good with the bad on this one. It's a good price but just know there are trade offs.
Maybe catch it on a week there is no construction and keep your party to two
