Extremely well-located ground floor unit in a "Frontline Beach" luxury tranquil complex with an excellent swimming pool nestled between Duquesa Marina/Port and El Castillo fishing village. Duquesa is a great family or romantic getaway location. Cosmopolitan and Spanish in equal measure, the genteel area is predominately non-package & self-catering in nature, a great place to explore further into Andalusia as well! Gibraltar, Rhonda, Tarifa, Marbella, Puerto Banus, Malaga & Cadiz are all within easy traveling distance. Gibraltar (via La Linea) & Estepona are also just a bus ride away.

Adjacent is the pretty and well-lit seated promenade between Duquesa Port to the north and Castillo village to the south (level walk 10 minutes max in each direction). Seafront walkways North and South mean there is access from Manilva Beach (and beyond) to the south, and past Sabinillas to Casares roundabout to the north.

Marina Del Castillo is located in a quiet and peaceful location yet within very easy walking distance of restaurants bars and facilities. It is the most exclusive and recently completed beachfront development in Duquesa. There is a secure allocated underground parking space.

A very comfortable well furnished, spacious, very secure (7 days a week manned security with 24hr CCTV) ground floor 2 bedroom 2 bathroom terraced apartment. Part of an ultra-modern beachfront apartment complex with an excellent pool. There is an LG Smart 43” TV & 100mbs free WiFi, bring your digi-box or Firestick to complement available U.K. & Spanish channels (BBC1, 2, ITV & Channel 4 are available directly).

It comprises an open plan lounge/diner with a double pull-out sofa bed for guests 5 & 6, two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite) and a spacious shaded covered terrace with six person outdoor dining table overlooking the secure pool area. There is also a sauna and gardens. Local property management company contacts are on hand for peace of mind. Keys are available locally 24 hrs.

The apartment has a state-of-the-art home automation system, a hydro bath, hydro massage shower, hot and cold air conditioning and 43" Smart TV & WiFI, there is a DVD player as well. The apartment is finished to a high standard with luxury tiled floors to all rooms and walls in the wet rooms (2). The kitchen is fully fitted including fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave etc. There is a clothes washing machine located outside the kitchen. Lounge and bedrooms have total blackout electric one-shot shutters (fantastic for restful sleep at any time), these, plus double locks and security bolts on all patio doors combined with the manned security, make the apartment ultra-secure.

Marina Del Castillo is within a very short, flat walking distance of all amenities including Duquesa Marina (the port), El Castillo village and Sabinillas town. The adjacent promenade also goes north through the port and onto the lovely Spanish town of Sabillinas, home to many more restaurants and tapas bars and a stunning beach. Whilst not adapted for wheelchair access there is level walking/wheelchair access to the apartment, reception, pool and to all local facilities in Duquesa and El Castillo.

Unidad de planta baja extremadamente bien ubicada en un complejo tranquilo de lujo "Primera línea de playa" con una excelente piscina ubicado entre Duquesa Marina / Puerto y el pueblo pesquero de El Castillo. Duquesa es un excelente lugar para una escapada familiar o romántica. Cosmopolita y española en igual medida, el área elegante es predominantemente de naturaleza libre de paquetes y de autoservicio, ¡un gran lugar para explorar más en Andalucía también! Gibraltar, Rhonda, Tarifa, Marbella, Puerto Banús, Málaga y Cádiz se encuentran a poca distancia. Gibraltar (a través de La Línea) y Estepona también están a solo un viaje en autobús.

Adyacente se encuentra el bonito y bien iluminado paseo marítimo entre el puerto de Duquesa al norte y el pueblo de Castillo al sur (caminata a nivel de 10 minutos como máximo en cada dirección). Los paseos marítimos norte y sur significan que hay acceso desde la playa de Manilva (y más allá) hacia el sur, y pasando Sabinillas hasta la rotonda de Casares hacia el norte.

Marina Del Castillo se encuentra en un lugar tranquilo y pacífico, pero a poca distancia a pie de restaurantes, bares e instalaciones. Es el desarrollo frente al mar más exclusivo y recientemente terminado en Duquesa. Hay un espacio de estacionamiento subterráneo seguro asignado.

Un apartamento muy cómodo, bien amueblado, espacioso, muy seguro (los 7 días de la semana con seguridad con 24hr circuito cerrado de televisión) en la planta baja de 2 dormitorios y 2 baños. Parte de un complejo de apartamentos ultramoderno frente al mar con una excelente piscina. Hay un televisor LG Smart de 43” y Wi-Fi gratis de 100mbs, traiga su digi-box o Firestick para complementar los canales disponibles del Reino Unido y España (BBC1, 2, ITV y Channel 4 están disponibles directamente).

Excellent building but disappointing apartment. It is located on the lower ground floor next to the entrance & exit from the underground garage so all drivers, passengers plus cleaners & maintenance staff coming and going from about 4am were banging both doors. We were there three weeks but there was no change of bed linen. As the terrace was completely in the shade there was little chance of drying any washing. The kitchen is under-equipped- no chopping board, no jug, no butter dish, a dirty coffee machine, hot plate rusty & stained, and tiny preparation area. The owner was advised that the battery on the garage opener was flat so we needed to take a taxi to the next village to buy a new one. It showed that the property manager hadn’t checked anything prior to our arrival. There is a continuing bad smell in the bathroom from the drains which is probably symptomatic of the location on the lower ground floor. In summary it’s a lovely building well located for both the village and the harbour but probably the worst apartment there. Very disappointing.

Trés bon séjour , la copropriété est trés propre bien arboré . , super piscine . le seul bémol la propreté de l appartement et les ustensibles dans la cuisine assez rare pas de couvercle de poéles ni essoreuse a salade , saladier inexistant etc ... Sinon bonne clim silencieuse et appartement bien aménagé . .

Fabulous!
Had a great stay (although not long enough!) at Steves apartment. Its in a great location, really well equipped and fantastic pool which was really quiet the week we were there. I would recommend this apartment and i would book to stay again without hesitation.

tenéis que tener en cuenta que antes de pagar va a aumentar el precio porque el precio está en libras y las libras vale más en mi caso 200 e más El ruido del mantenimiento a las 7:00 de la mañana empiezan a limpiar la piscina que no te deja dormir tranquilo y por la noche cuando los vecinos entran por el garaje parecen que estan contigo ademas no hay cobertura.para conseguir cobertura necesitas estar todo rato en la terraza necesitas 3 días para secar la ropa por que hay humedad

El puerto tiene 3 niveles (accesible para sillas de ruedas) con una gran cantidad de restaurantes y bares extravagantes. Nuestros bares favoritos son The Bar, Chapter Two, Mirror Mirror, Ocean Bar & Bar C, mi restaurante favorito es Sabor Toscana, excelente comida italiana (Andreas es un anfitrión brillante), pero hay muchos más excelentes y no hay espacio aquí para mencionarlos a todos. Pruebe el pescado con patatas fritas de Jims al menos una vez, el bacalao rebozado o los gougons de pescado y una bebida en The Bar, Ryders o Chapter Two es una excelente manera de relajarse.
Duquesa es un expatriado cosmopolita, una zona residencial española y privada sin paquetes vacacionales ni grandes hoteles, es un lugar para escapar de todo, que todavía tiene encanto pero que puede brindarte toda la diversión que deseas y si alquilas un auto en Bruno's (mejor alquiler de coches), en el puerto podrá degustar las muchas delicias de Andalucía, Ronda, Casares Tarifa, etc.

Why they chose this property

Luxury 2 bed 2 bath 6 person frontline beach apartment + secure garage parking in a fantastic location, great local food/bars, amenities & the whole of Andalusia to explore (Ronda and Tarifa are fantastic). Just over an hour from Malaga by car/ half an hour from Gibraltar. The Port of Duquesa - El Peurto DE La Duquesa - the port of the Duchess, is set between the Spanish town of Sabinillas and the quiet fishing village of El Castillo, all within easy level promenade walking distance. Duquesa & the surrounding area has a variety of local and cosmopolitan bars and restaurants to choose from & everything is on your doorstep in the port, Castillo & Sabillinas. Check out Google Earth satellite view from the map to see how well placed the apartment is.
The ground floor location is great for families & the pool & the beach offer hours of glorious sunshine, while the shaded private terrace overlooking (but not too close to the pool) is a welcome retreat.

The port has regular craft markets and the 'lucky lucky men' (very respectful) sell loads of value goods like designer bags watches and sunglasses - barter though!

The port is on three levels (wheelchair accessible) with a host of restaurants and quirky bars. Our favourites bars are Ryders, The Bar, Chapter Two, Mirror Mirror, Ocean Bar & Bar C, my favourite restaurant is Sabor Toscana, great Italian food without pizza (Andreas is a brilliant host), but there are many many more great ones and no space here to mention them all. Do try Jims's fish n chips at least once, the battered cod or fish gougons and a drink at The Bar, Ryders or Chapter Two is a great way to chill.
Duquesa is a cosmopolitan ex-pat, Spanish and private residential area with no package holiday accommodation or large hotels, its a get away from it all place that still has charm yet can provide all the fun you want and if you hire a car from Bruno's (best car hire) in the port you can sample the many delights of Andalusia, Ronda, Casares Tarifa etc.
