El Cortijo Sierra la Solana 1878 guarantees an unforgettable rural tourism experience for those in search of leisure and the chance to enjoy a wide range of activities.

This new establishment is situated in a fully restored country house that combines all the traditional elements of rustic architecture with the comforts and facilities of quality accommodation.

It lies halfway between the town of Herencia, in the north-west of the province of Ciudad Real, some 150 km from Madrid and 5 km from the border separating the provinces of Toledo and Villarta.

Around Cortijo Sierra la Solana, you can visit a vanguard Cheese Factory by appointment.

The recently created Cheese Factory is concentrating on combining artisanal tradition with the latest technology. It intends to gain status as a point of reference both regionally and nationally. Its name, which is the date of publication of El Quijote, pays homage to the cheese-making tradition of this region, to which there are many references in Cervantes’ great Spanish work. Furnished with the latest technology, the cheeses made here are guaranteed to be of a high quality. The sheep’s milk from La Mancha flocks, pasteurized or unpasteurized, is obtained according to the very strictest hygiene regulations.

Excelencia
Acabamos de regresar de nuestra segunda estancia en el cortijo. Instalaciones de auténtico lujo, no se echa en falta ningún detalle. Siempre pendientes Manuel y M. Ángeles, la casa lo tiene absolutamente todo. Se agradece encontrar establecimientos de tanta calidad en la que poder reunirse varias familias con niños. Ha sido un fin de semana inolvidable. Y volveremos.

Estancia profesional perfecta¡¡¡¡¡
Acabo de dejar la casa hace unas horas. Soy un profesional que se mueve por la zona y es la mejor oferta hotelera de la comarca. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y, para ser una casa rural, están decoradas con mucho gusto. Las instalaciones son geniales y aunque la casa esté llena disfrutas de una independencia muy grande. María es un cielo, además de una gran profesional. Siempre atenta a tus demandas. Y Mª Ángeles y Manuel son el otro gran activo de este alojamiento. Te sientes siempre como si fueras de su familia. Por no hablar de la mano de Ángeles en la cocina. Yo repetiré, porque voy al menos tres veces al mes. Nunca había puesto ningún comentario, pero estoy en deuda con ellos. Enhorabuena¡¡¡¡

ESTABLECIMIENTO RURAL DE CALIDAD
Recomendable para Familias con Niños y Grupos de Amigos!! Hemos quedado gratamente sorprendidos. Fuimos un grupo de 16 personas y 7 niños y todo se encontraba muy limpio, con grandes espacio, todos los detalles cuidados al máximo,piscina vallada, horno y cenador, con la leña preparada en la Barbacoa. Te atiende un matrimonio durante toda la estancia, que cuidan todos los detalles, te realizan el servicio de limpieza de Habitaciones, piscina... realmente te sientes en un oasis en medio de la Mancha No podemos dejar de recomendarlo, estuvimos muy agusto y disfrutamos del cortijo, del horno de leña, y de la supercocina. El Domingo puedes abandonar la Casa hasta las 18:00 hrs, de esta manera disfrutas de un fin de semana a la grande. La visita a la Quesería una experiencia inolvidable para los niños. Felicidades!!!

Cortijo con encanto
Hola. Estuvimos un grupo grande de adultos y bebés, y todos quedamos encantados con la casa, llevamos años yendo a casas rurales y buscábamos una que se adecuara a nuestras necesidades, esta sin duda cumple todos los requisitos salvo por la hora de salida (hora de dejar las habitaciones). Al alquilar la casa completa para todo el fin de semana, tienes que abandonar las habitaciones a las 12h, no así la casa, que la puedes utilizar hasta las 18h, pero nosotros íbamos con bebés y nos supuso un problema logístico tener que sacar cunas y carritos para los bebes y luego sus siestas, los pobrecillos andaban desperdigados por el salón. Si no hubiera sido por este problema de horario la casa para nuestro grupo hubiese sido estupenda.... no dudo que para otros grupos sea genial y se adecue a sus necesidades, pero para nosotros, obviamente, no, y eso que ni siquiera llegamos a estar hasta las 18h... a las 17h ya estábamos recogiendo y saliendo para nuestras casas..... que pena porque, como ya he dicho, la casa es genial, amplia, cómoda, con todo lo que te puedas imaginar, las habitaciones estupendas, la zona de barbacoa y piscina igualmente estupendas... en fin, lo mismo regresamos cuando los bebes sean mayores jejeje. un saludo.

EXCELENTE CASA RURAL, RECOMENDABLE 100%
Ha sido un fin de semana especial entre amigos, hemos disfrutado mucho a pesar del tiempo de una agradable estancia, con sus estupendas zonas comunes y la tranquilidad de estar en medio de una finca totalmente vigilada, para hacer y deshacer a nuestra medida. Angeles y Manuel, los vigilantes del cortijo son personas encantadoras y han estado en todo momento atentos a las necesidades,dejando nuestra privacidad garantizada. como anecdota por nuestra parte y que es un servicio del cortijo, la barbacoa te la dejan limpia de ceniza y preparada para encender una cerilla!!!!!!!!!! La visita a la Queseria que se encuentra dentro de la finca a escasos 500 metros, es una experiencia positiva y ver parir a dos corderos insitu, es una de las cosas que no se ve todos los dias con los tiempos que corren.... Destacar la limpieza, amplitud de habitaciones, decoracion, equipamiento y el servicio de habitaciones y zonas comunes a diario, asi como la tranquilidad para poder hacer todo el ruido del mundo sin molestar a nadie. RECOMENDABLE 100 % Gracias tambien a Maria, volveremos!!!!

The main house is large and elegant. It has been designed to provide various types of accommodation to suit a range of occasions and requirements.

It has 5 double rooms, 1 suite that can sleep up to 6 and an apartment that sleeps 4.

Guests may also rent the whole house for private celebrations, including special events such as birthdays, hen and stag parties, or indeed any cause for celebration...who needs an excuse to enjoy unforgettable moments with your loved ones whilst enjoying a unique stay.
