This beach is gorgeous and never crowded! Beach access is only 1 1/2 blocks with parking for cars & bikes. Clean full bathrooms are open with showers and a large deck overlooking the beach.
The area offers local restaurants, unique art galleries and shops, and a 22 mile bike/jogging path that runs along the coastline. 10 miles away lies 'civilization' in Destin where you can enjoy Destin Commons, Silver Sands outlet mall, movies and night life.
If you want adventure, hike through Point Washington State Forest across the street. The trail system consists of 3 double track loop trails. The hiker or bicyclist can travel the 3.5, 5 or 10 mile loop. Always fun is to take a guided ride on horseback through Point Washington State Forest.
Drive or take the bicycles (we provide 8 bikes for your use - including a Burley D'Lite child trailer) for a quick ride to Seaside, Watercolor and Grayton Beach to enjoy the unique shopping, outdoor concerts/movies and award winning restaurants.
A private over-sized, relaxing subdivision pool and fitness center is a short walk from our home.
Our single story house was built in 2011 and features include hardwood floors, stainless appliances and all new furniture. Pillow-top queen beds in the master and second bedrooms. The third bedroom has a 2 twin beds plus a queen sofa sleeper in the family room. Full washer and dryer, DVD players, Xbox and Gamecube. LCD TVs in the family room and all bedrooms plus DISH Cable service & hi-speed WiFi. New stainless steel kitchen appliances give you the option of staying in to cook in our fully equipped kitchen on the new granite counter-tops. Everything is new - coffee maker, blender, waffle maker, toaster, etc.
If your idea of vacation includes grilling on the Weber charcoal grill, then try buying fresh seafood from Shrimpers Seafood Market on HWY 98. It's the quintessential seafood market. Fresh shrimp, salmon, grouper, tilapia, scallops, and red snapper, among lots of other kinds of fresh fish.
The bathrooms are large with double sinks so there is plenty of room! Our house cleaners come before you stay cleaning all linens and towels and sanitizing the bathrooms and kitchen.
All of your linens are furnished, but please bring your own beach towels. Paper products, trash liners, bathroom tissue and facial soap are provided.
