Apollo Court 2 is situated on Ataturk Boulevard, a major local bus route to the town, beaches, water park and is a short walk to the Temple of Apollo a major historic attraction in this area. All areas can be accessed by local minibus which run past the complex every few minutes in summer and a bit less frequently during the rest of the year. The distance to the beach is about 2000 metres, about a twenty minute stroll. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk. The complex has a large supermarket on site. Other attractions include Sahte Cennet Beach Club, where you can relax on the beach or on the lovely pier which reaches out about 100 metres into Akbuk Bay. Drinks and food available from very friendly staff. Another great day out is on one of the pleasure boats which leave Altinkum Harbour every morning about 10am returning at 5pm. They stop at about five bays for swimming and lunch is served on board. A very relaxing day out and all for just £10.00, and they collect you from Apollo Court. For a more exclusive day at sea book the Flying Fish, a private charter boat and carries up to ten people at a cost of just £200.00 including lunch cooked by the skipper on board. Finally if you want a day of luxury not often discovered by the average holiday maker, the Yacht Club at the new D-Marin Marina is fantastic. Relax in one of the best locations, on a luxurious sun lounger by the superb pool overlooking the boats and the panorama of Altinkum, first, second and third beach. There is even a half price happy hour from 6.30pm. A day pass currently costs 15 lira, about £6.00. For the romantic among us the sunset at Maveshir must not be missed. People gather every evening on the headland to watch the sun sink into the Aegean Sea. There is also a no hassle market selling everthything from fruit to t shirts.
